This is the first part in an attempt to make a complete reconstruction of alle the major events with visual material included. This is from the start to April.
I am looking for feedback on what to do ? Should i include the complete timelapses or just small bits that are interesting ?
Have asked permission for the usage of materials but am still looking for more video material that i can use. I will allways credit the makers and if anyone has the feeling that i am abusing any material please contact me and let me know.

This is really excellent! It's the first video I've seen that helps us see how the volcano evolved spatially, and connects the small original vents with what became the monster one. I understand what's been happening much better now, thanks to the mix of video and maps, especially as the vantage points keep changing.

Excellent work! IMO, continue the series just as you did this one. Maybe a separate video of just the highlights at the 6-month mark (coming up soon!). I really like the shot where the original geography is outlined so that you can see just how much lava has been deposited. Thanks for all the many hours you have spent on these. YOU ROCK!!

I just discovered this video - personally, I APPRECIATE the complete timelapse video. It’s a wonderful historic record it real earth changes! These are VERY important records. Most people have no awareness of REAL powers of our earth and how quickly it can be changed. THANK YOU!! ❤️👍🙏👏

9:39 and later (till 10;16) : I like to observe how huge blocks of solidified lava (hundreds of tons) are slowly but inevitably transported by the fresh lava flow. Very impressive !

Watching the lava spread down into the beautiful curves of the Meradilir made me realize that the hills surrounding it were all once vents, too. So it's not covering up anything, it's just adding to the beauty.

That is correct. Every inch of new lava is coming on top of old lava from centuries ago

5:29 is my early understanding of the system, I could visualize everything... 8:07 - the original G-valley intimate/mini-viewing is flooded, and the mid-fault Rag/Nar source is filling M and M-south, N is still not touched. Theatre Hill is still accessible. 11:53 - more of the same (soooo many cubic feet) you can now imagine Theatre Hill might get cut off soon, and when will N valley be breached!? (May-ish) 14:09 berms from M into N, incursion into M from G cutting off Theatre Hill seems imminent.(late May) 16:12 berms at the bottom of M have overflowed, and Theatre Hill is cut off by accumulation at the bottom of G, see also outflows from M at top end as everything fills up.

The flow that killed of the hiking path to Theatre hill is next on roll. Working on that part right now. And the big flows on Natthagi and Meradlir as well. It so wonderfull how much we can see up close from this volcano.

A good reference to the disappearance of the small hill to the SE of NAR at the end of May. If only the tremors weren't shaking around all of the letters in the names which makes it hard for people in the US to pronounce. ;-) We need a map so fans can predict the location of the next vents. I am thinking about 1.5KM due west of NAR as the deep fissures tunnel under Fagradalsfjall. Curious how deep the valley it is emptying into is, since the lava front has stopped progressing. It may well be that former valleys become future hills, as is the case here in the Pac NW (Oregon, Washington)

A lot of hills will be created for the future. That is sure. After this eruption rain and snow will carve out the new landscape. We are now wittnessing the building up.

15:20 : it is interesting to observe, in the left lower corner of the image, the surface crust of the lava flow rising up ant then subsiding.

@@volcanotimelapses8311 I already observed, with the same great interest, this phenomenon of thickening of an apparently ended flow of lava on your video of the 20th june : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NNRnhCtq4qs.html (starting at 0;59, this slow rise of the whole surface is absolutely stunning)

Thank you for your work on showing where it all started. But how thick the lava is. Watching that hill close to the volcano slowly disappear. How trail after trail blocked by relentless lava. Now new lava fountains? As they say ----- Stay tune--‐--

I visit your site every day along with several others to see the latest on the volcano and no one has posted anything new, even though I can see on the live feed that the weather has improved and there is a lot of activity. Why is no one posting anything new?
