I particularly love these videos, I have a passion for learning more about countries, flags, continents and your videos make me so excited about everything!
I’ve always been intrigued by Bhutan as well as all the Stan countries + Mongolia. Huh, maybe I have a penchant for the obscure/not often talked about! Asia is a truly underrated and underdiscussed part of the globe. Massive of course and a ton of influence but you really only hear about 3/4 countries in the mainstream when there’s so much to unpack. Thanks again for another wonderful video! My nightly routine is this channel and the football channel haha.
Yeh bro, its funny! Kazakhstan in UEFA, Uzbekistan in AFC. And it is also strange that there is still no Arabian zone where they could play Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Morocco and arabian national teams, who's play in AFC. I think, Cameroon and Algeria it's not the same thing, like an Thailand and Saudi Arabia not the same think...
I'm from iran and it made me laugh when you said they add "istan" at the end of every country name, that's quite true 😂 yeah we say countries names in weird way like we call Germany "Alman" which idk why And lastly TNX for your great video i enjoyed it allot ❤
What If you made videos reading news? Like a podcast, but asmr… I think it’s similar to geopolitics, and would engage too. But it could be about anything, really.
I’m pretty sure the fact you’re referring to about 1/3 of the population being in that small space is even crazier then what you said from what I remember it was closer to 50% of the worlds population
Oh wow!! I have been told in another comment that it is the urban area of Tokyo which is the largest, but as you say, Tokyo itself isn't as large. Thx!
Tokyo isn't the most populated, but it is the largest urban area. Java of Indonesia, an island where Jakarta is located is the most populated island. Manila is the most densely populated city. India is the most populated country. Indonesia is the most populated Muslim country. The Philippines is the largest Christian nation by population in Asia. China has the most megacities. India, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, and The Philippines are part of 17 Megadiverse countries in the world.
Look, this is a PSA for everyone: if you say "Football" with any kind of non-American or non-Canadian accent, you needn't specify what you mean. We understand 😂 Although, Australians I'm going to need to talk to you guys in a separate meeting because I have questions.
Imo the eastern borders of Europe are the Bosphorus Strait, the Caucasian mountains, and the Urals as if you were going to argue anything west of the Urals was Europe as long as it had a land connection, you could argue all of Africa is Europe because the Suez Canal is manmade, and as much as Afro-Eurasia is a cool name, for categorisation's sake it isn't a very good idea. So combining tectonics with water bodies, I'd argue Turkey is Asian because only a small portion is in Europe, and the Ottomans who created the Turkish state were from Anatolia and follow Islam, making it more culturally connected with Asia. Continuing with this definition, the Caucasus region is below the continental border of the Caucasian mountains, so despite their cultural similarities to Europe, they're still Asian in my mind. Lastly Kazahkstan is majority Asian following the Ural line so same situation as Turkey, Asian, and Russia has the majority of its population west of the Urals and is culturally similar to Europe so I'd argue European. Thats just my definition though 😂
All that you said is definitely correct and recognised. I often consider Turkey, Kazakhstan, Armenia, etc. as Asian countries. However, they do qualify for the World Cup in the European area. I also read that Africa, Asia and Europe could be considered one continent. That would be an extreme though as the number of different languages and cultures would be insane!
@@WelshASMR82Maps Yeah I'm aware abt the football situation but if you consider the cultural nuances and, in Israel's case, geopoltical situations of those countries, it does kind of make sense.
Bro you have used wrong map of India. Pakistan occupied Kashmir and the aksai chin part which is illegally occupied by china should be inside the India. Kindly please correct your mistake. 😤😤😤
The vast majority of Russia's population is in Europe because the Urals are my conventional border. Ethnically and culturally the ethnic Russians therefore the Slavs are European. It is a European ethnic group originating from Eastern Europe.
I always had this doubt so let me dare to ask today in this map class ,some kind wise soul please help 😅 I Was a kid when we were taught this and i was introvert, timid in my childhood so couldn't ask this doubt to my teacher My doubt is If im in India and i want to go to africa now should i keep walking to my west and then i will reach africa or i can just walk in the east direction TOO and then get to africa? AS THEY SAY EARTH IS ROUND so there can be two ways too isn't it ? A shortcut method and one more is a long cut . I mean if so ,is America west to India and why not east to india ? I mean it's possible isn't it ? As everything is connected And we just cut in some way For example we are not reading it as 1234567890 but reading it as 5678901234 In the first case 4 was to the left of 5 but in second case they were two extreme points and 4 was to the right of 5 If i draw map different and now india is on to the west and America to the right it will be an eastern country isn't it ? Ok i asked two doubts Sorry 😅 I know it's such a dumb question but i wasn't so wise enough to have these doubts then and no confidence to ask this later . So some kind soul please im just curious and want to enhance my knowledge and i would be so grateful and thankful if you help me in this thing . Thank you in advance ❤
You are 100% correct! As the earth is round, both ways get you there. I think people talk like that because it is the shortest route, but not the only route! Also, most maps are Euro-centric, i.e. Europe is in the centre of the map and India is to the east. If India is in the middle, the world looks slightly different, but it is still correct. Technically, how do we even know that south is down, maybe India is in the North and Europe is in the South!?
@@WelshASMR82Maps thank you so much for this information. I really didn't have this answer and always just wondered and was scared to ask someone. Thank you for reading my long comment and also giving a very clear answer ❤️
