(best viewed in 720pHD) my winCE car GPS came with iGo Primo navigation software, which can run with additional satellite or aerial raster imagery underneath the stock vector roads, so I cleaned up the government ortho-imagery of New Zealand & ported the finished seemless, cloudless and consistently-coloured composite into the proprietary NNG raster format the iGo Primo navigation software can display.
I start off with a commentary on my older 0.85m/pixel Auckland dataset,

then ( at 3m07s) I discuss my latest 4.5m/pixel national dataset, and the technique to port that data to iGo Primo
3664 jpegs (2845 land images of 3072pixels x 3072pixels, plus 819 smaller sea only images so that the dataset doesn't end suddenly)
each at 0.125 degrees, compiled into 229 0.5 degree .raster files, HQ setting, 65% compression, 18gb total size

ensure computer's "Settings" - "Control Panel" - "Region & Language" - "Additional Settings" -- "Numbers" are set as :
1) "Decimal symbol" = "," comma
2) "Digit grouping symbol" = "." fullstop
otherwise you will get a "floating point" error message

I did this in two steps
(1) create all the 3664 .rst files
(2) compile groups of 16 .rst files into a single .raster file
what is shown below is #(2)
note that the decimal point is designated by the comma "," character, not a fullstop "."
and that the co-ordinate origin of the .rst files described within the psb_raster.ini file is South-West, BUT my file naming convention origin is North-West (divide by yyyy_xxx by 8 to get decimal degrees, latitude is negative, as I lazily used 0 deg lat, 0 deg lon as my origin)
