As an Australian, I can confirm that I was sad when the Queen died. Even though she wasn’t in our daily lives, she was sorta like a grandma you loved but you didn’t see much.

Incase you are interested, Britain invaded Russia during the Crimean War(1853-1856). But didn’t fully occupy it, as it wasn’t a standard practice during that time. And also during the Russian Civil War, British volunteers fought for the Anti Communist white army, but still, no full occupation. The map seems to show countries that were at war with the UK at some point in their history. So, Czechia for instance, is shown as red because it was part of the Austro-Hungarian empire, who were at war with Britain during ww1. Not because the British actually invaded a European country established in the 90s.
