Well macaulay culkin was interview with this same lady and this very room 2 years before Mara he was like bored and sleepy to be there so was mara...this is very strange.
I had no idea her mother had died around that time. She seems so spaced out and drained. She was only 9 years old. Poor girl. I'm glad she is doing well and didn't allow Hollywood to warp her mind
Her intelligence is quite evident in how pensive she becomes prior to answering the questions posed to her. She seems like such a cerebral child. I know she was grieving here, too. What an utterly captivating child she was!
I love the film Matilda. Mara Wilson played the main character so well and Mara was a great young actress. Watching this interview I felt for her a bit. It was just after her mum died and I could see the hurt in her eyes. She looked a little tired and didn't seem to have a care about what the interviewer was saying but despite that I think she handled the interview really well. What a little star. Acting can sometimes be a gruelling industry for young child actors, we've seen what can happen to young actors later in life and I think she made the right choice to quit while she was still young.
Yeah Mara Wilson quit acting when she was like 13 or 14 years old. The last movie that she was in was Thomas and the Magic Railroad. It was a movie that was based off of the kids TV show Thomas The Tank Engine. It starred Alec Baldwin and Peter Fonda.
This was right after her mom died, you can see the sorrow in her eyes, and she really does not care about anything the interviewer is saying. Poor Mara, to lose your parent so young, I feel for her :(
🎵Happy Birthday To U WHOO Happy Birthday Two U WHOO Happy Birthday Dear Mara Happy Birthday ✌️ U🎵 WHOO Happy Birthday Mara Wilson. UR beautiful. I watch Matilda a long time ago, maybe in Disney channel, j dunno. I can't remember. I almost forgot. Now I didn't forget. I love it. U were amazing. Matilda is a good reader. Not me. Love u Mara. May the Peace be with u Matilda. From Harlingen Texas. July 24, 1987 July 24, 2023 through July 24, 3023
I can just see Mara after the interview going out in the hall and lighting up a cigarette and saying "oh my god" the interviewer seemed so patronizing. You can see how intellectual Mara is at such a young age.
The way she plays with her hands and touches her hands its a sign of trying to comfort herself. Poor thing she was completely sad and thinking about her mom. God bless her
Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman actually took care of her during filming. And unlike their characters in the movie, they treated her like she was one of their own.
I just watched her from a few years earlier on Jay Leno and she was really bubbly and talkative. then came to this one and she seems so withdrawn. I looked in the comments and people are saying her mother had died recently ☹️
