Now that KI is gone with Marantz, well, I guess there will be no more new Marantz for me in the future....Will probably just grab the Ruby as part of the collection :) Marantz PM17 mkII KI + Topping D10 + AVI Duo speaker.
Amp components appearance looks very promising. I see why didn’t change power cord. Trust me replace with audio quest basic 15 amps power cord . No need spend huge money. If you’re in usa music direct selling for 50$ .
Thanks ravi....this is just my 3rd set up and barely use it so not spending too much money for the power cords.... as you would probably noticed my other 2 setup have proper cabling...kimber kables, music fidelity silver link, etc... :)
Dante Rivera . Ok I get it . Recently I have upgraded my Bluesound node2i and CD player power codes with audioquest. I just spent 100$ and I see huge difference. Like I totally upgraded to new system. Dynamics improved, highs just floating with air and bass more defined , mids so much articulated . Initially I thought amps only required high quality power cords.
Hi, I think those audioquest are already good. In this video,I am using audioquest but I have used NuVista Silver link to this one and cannot really hear much of difference. If you upgraded your cables from basic to something a little bit better, I guess you will be good. Invest more on the amp and speaker first and when you have more spare funds, then, by all means, upgrade to better cables. Just my thoughts.
Dante Rivera no plans to spend money on cables .. I just verified if I can find any thing less price good cable which you may come across. One thing I ordered Audioqlab 6000CDT transport. I trading with NAD c 538 . Hifi heaven . Will post my updates.
@@asedillo1 Pleasure was mine. Unbelievably, the guy who was going to repair mine, at the last minute, said it was an ancient piece of junk and that it would be a waste of time and money! I have put it away safely for now. Bought a Denon PMA 600NE bluetooth enabled amp for $400 that is doing a great job in the meantime. Someday in the future, one of my son's will be the lucky recipient of the PM-17.
Thanks for watching. Actually, it sounds good in person. In youtube, as we all know the sound is very much compressed. But for sure, this is not a tube sounding like amp. I have a tube amp and can tell you, they have different characteristics. PM17 have a bit tight bass IMHO and mid is rich though I must admit from this video at RU-vid, it does not give justice.
