See how carefully the removal of cover, knobs and all are done without making hairline scratch on the face plate and housing bracket. Even leaving that long piece of wood underneath is a great thought. This is extremely helpful! Great video. Excellent work! Thanks for posting!
Yeah. I’m having problems putting it back in after changing the vellums. The plastic is warped and browned but nothing is broken. I wonder if anyone has made one yet with the 3d printer
Thank you for the video tutorial. I recently place my order on eBay for one of these and I'm anxiously waiting. While it's a bummer to wait, I'm extremely grateful that this fine looking product is available for purchase and out of ABS instead of that crummy PLA stuff. From the vantage point of this video and the eBay photos, I'd never guessed that this was 3D printed. Excellent job! A great advantage of needing to wait for this to be made-to-order is that it does give me time to perform those other duties while I wait, such as performing the LED conversion, recapping, and cleaning controls. I even had time to watch this tutorial! One really should make note that these are all JIS screws and they really deserve a JIS driver as Phillips drivers do a bad number on JIS screws. A do have a question while I wait. Being that the standard housing is a translucent ABS, is there gain in lining the indicator lamp housings with aluminum, foil tape (such as that used on dryer vent joints) in order to prevent light leakage across adjacent indicators and from the main dial lamps, or would that be a waste of time? Thank you for making these available for a very fair price and for all the tips in this video. I can't wait to get the old 2325 that was recently entrusted to me for service returned to my 80-year-old father who purchased his 2325 brand new in the mid 1970's, so he can crank up his old Marantz through his old Wharfdales and resume irritating all his neighbors with all his old Jazz LP's. My father's old Marantz 2325 will look beautiful back in his audio rack with his huge collection of vintage vinyl, especially with the return of that big, beautiful, blue display. Glenn
I received my beautiful white ABS lamp housing and it's straight, firm and a perfect fit. There was a tad bit of light bleeding across zones initially, but it all cleaned up when I loosened the bracket screws and cinched it all up tight. This coupled with a recap/ rebuild kit and an LED kit really makes the old Marantz shine and sing! For a made-to-order item, Aaron had this in my hands lightning fast. Thank you! Glenn
