i didn't have to remove the transport section like you did. It kinda flips out all together if you unscrew a few things here and there. Motor, mechanism and the play rev fwd etc part, all together. I think it is hopeful to install new belts now.
i have a Marantz PMD222 and the tape doesnt run anymore. When i play the motor sound is louder and deccelarates much slower when stopping. like 2 seconds while previously it was like instant. Also there is no difference in sound when play and pause together. I fear the belt has ripped, thats why the missing resistance/friction makes the motor whirr down slowly? I opened it the backside and tadaaa. No acccess to anything that easily.
Greetings from Argentina: I got a Superscope CD 310 cassette player. Unfortunately the motor has been removed and I have no idea what speed it is (2400, 3200) or its direction of rotation. I supose it's 6v from what the tester says. Can anybody help me?. I would really like to restore it to its former glory. Thank you very much in advance.
