Much better way if doing this. A technique we using in spfx for marbling is spary your paint down then get a soft brush heavy with solvent and use the brush to push you paint into lines. Maybe i can show you we do this with silicone and acrylics all the time it shouldn't affext the paint as the solvent flashes off.
Had a go at this with some MDT poly mags. Looks awesome, but ended up with some very shiny areas. Not sure why it's shiny, maybe because the acetone didn't spread out enough and evaporate fully. Any ideas on where I went wrong? On the upside, I rubbed the hell out of the surface with a towel and the Cerakote's holding up. Magpul FDE for the base kote, then Glock FDE, Magpul Foliage Green and Magpul OD Green.
