Jellyfish Basically, I believe the pitch of the voice was shifted. It sounds so, it is not that natural. I think on later videos he stopped changing the pitch and now his voice sounds way more natural EDIT: Yes, he actually used to speed up his voice, that is why it didn't sound natural

FeldupHorror Oh, the whole process can take a week of on and off work, but it takes staying on top of it and keeping the discipline to deliver. I truly enjoy what I do--the more time I have to work on something, the better I feel, because that means more effort can go in.

What I find interesting is the Totheark response to Entry 16. Jay's calling out of "Alex! Brian!" is slowed down to the point that it almost sounds like a voice is saying "I was there", which of course Totheark was. I don't know if that was intentional or a happy accident, but it's really cool either way.

I love this guy because I have difficult time interpreting abstract concepts, and this guy shows me what it actually means. Imagine that I am nearly blind and Nick Nocturne takes me to an art gallery: on my own, I’d probably only get 5% of the art (story), maybe 25% if I tried hard. Due to this, I would not be able to effectively interpret the videos, and, therefore, don’t even try out of frustration. Nick Nocturne tells me what the art really is and how he interprets it.

Marble Hornets, the OG and the face of the entire Slenderverse. If we have never gotten this series, i wouldn’t have gotten the childhood traumas that i suffered back in the day. Same is said for TribeTwelve and EverymanHYBRID. I’m glad i discovered the series despite getting anxiety and paranoia about the Slenderman.

I know this is an older video of yours, but I wish you could re-edit it so that your narration was on the same audio level as the sampled videos. I keep having to turn the volume up and down because when it's loud enough for me to hear your commentary, the Marble Hornets clips end up being way TOO loud. It's so much louder that it ends up being an unintentional jumpscare half the time even when the beginning of the footage doesn't actually contain any jumpscares.

I actually watched the series on yt about a year after it got started. I remember getting caught up and then the 7 month break. When it came back I was shouting at my boyfriend at the time "Babe ,Jay is alive!!!!!" It took them years to get through the first couple seasons but it was so worth it. I didnt realize that they were actually tweeting and communicating as well until this video, that made the story so much more badass for me. I still get the spooks!

Looking back on this, what truly made this series terrifying isn't the monster, but the context the monster arrived in. Along with the fact of how closely the story blended reality and fiction, this really was a groundbreaking project at the time.

Am I the only one who finds Slendy sorta...well, silly? I mean it's just a tall dude, in a suit, who sometimes turns all noodly. I dunno why, but I just can't find anything with him in it scary. So for THIS to give me the willies through its performances and clever editing alone? That's pretty special. The "tree" at 7:40 alone was enough to get me spooked.

it's kind of like the boogey man. and it isn't so much as scary in the current popular sense of jumpscares (despite those damn games) the story and character play more on the lack of humanity in such a creature that is humanoid. it's less omg scary and more unnerving. plus humans generally fear the unknown and well it's unknown what he does to the children. I'm in no way saying he's real lol I'm just saying the story and character are less jumpscare and more a disturbing unnerving concept. whenever I see him I think of nervil (I think that's the name of the kid of the boogeyman) in grim adventures of Billy and mandy

I always felt like totheark was the Operator, for mixed intentions, and that's why the footage was so distorted. It's like the Operator gives of electronegativity that affects everything around in, causing cameras to glitch and people to be sick. Also, i think the ark is the ark shaped tunnel where, well, things happend. ....

I just re-watched the entirety of Marble Hornets for the first time since high school, and was able to pick up a lot of plot details that I was too young/naïve to understand back when the episodes were originally airing. I love Nick's dissections and deep dives a lot, so when I found out that he did an entire series on Marble Hornets, I had to come here right away. I'm looking forward to watching the rest.
