Looking at this, you could run the positive of the motor to the coil, and via the two upright supports so it only turns when a ball is on the coil - ie it creates the contact.

Do you think if you preload the elevator full of marbles, a single rotation of the spring would have effectively moved one marble from bottom to top, the marble could generate enough energy on the way down to dispense another marble. Lol
