Here is the Beginner Race (Level Two) from Marble Madness. I absolutely love this score and this is the most iconic theme from the game. On the NES, the track has a long loop. It goes through the theme, then repeats. But on the repeat the last four measures plays again. I keep that same format here, essentially playing the main melody four times. On the second half, I open it up a bit, adding octaves to the melody as well as the bass in the B section.

Well Done. I loved listening to your rendition. It brought so many memories of listening to that music over and over during development. I am sure Hal would appreciate, and Brad would have appreciated, your effort.

oh wow! thank you so much commenting! This is absolutely a tribute to their groundbreaking music and to the game as a whole. It’s still today one of my favorite games of all time. You created something truly unique and special that deserves preservation. I have the whole soundtrack arranged and I wish I could have shown it to Brad before he passed. that was the original though! The nes adaption is generally a bit darker whereas the arcade version is a bit more circusy.

I assume you're talking about the F# in the melody. It's pretty odd to decide to change the melody. But I think he changed it because he added P5ths off the bass notes which then sound cooler and darker but they clash with that F#. This version sound more like it's in G# Minor whereas the arcade version suggests more B Major, all because of that one note change and those perfect fifths in the bass.
