But let's be honest, there were times Barca need to take out Lewa, but didn't. Even Xavi want to loaned out Roque. And with Flick even if he had a chance, he was not going to get minutes to develop, with the coach that had some history with Lewa. It is completely different from Moriba, because he was kind of a starter in the team already.

to everyone who says he's ruined his career: his career went up because xavi used him in the first squad. he performed well and suddenly became a known and demanded player. without xavi he would not even get the attention from chelsea. so for me its an absolute win. you cant keep everyone, but if you get them a nice place, its good for everyone. good luck to marc, he's a great player and the PL will form him

TBH I think its more about the money than some project, first of all Chelsea has got plenty of strikers so he wont play that much (Sure they will give him a few chances at first, to see exactly what they got), but I dont see him playing that much, secondly Chelsea is not known that much for player development, but what Chelsea does do is offer nice amounts of money. But on the other hand, I didnt see him as a Barca first team player either, so I dont think Barca lost some phenomenon, just a couple more millions sometime down the road, could had sold him for higher price, but other than that.........

The only way he hasn’t stagnated or ruined his career is if he really explodes onto the scene but I don’t see that happening easily. It would also require that the other strikers at the club underperform thus giving him a genuine chance. He needs both things to happen imo

Would say only thing I did not like about this transfer was going with a release clause. He could have made more like how a barca bench player and one of the upcoming young striker go for 6 million while other similar profile go none less than 30 million and even if he leave and shine could atleast left for free and a good buyback or a sell on percentage clause would be something that helped barca financially as this 6 million would be of no use.

Honestly I do understand him, we brought Roque which probably seemed odd to him considering they play the same position and of course there's Lewandowski as well, so he chose what felt right for him. Although it kinda stings to see him go. Good luck to him👌.

It would have been nice if he helped Barca out with a higher transfer fee knowing the position the club was in and how highly they rated him. But that being said I hope he finds success and don't blame him going after bringing in Roque. I still think we should have focused on renewing Guiu instead of slamming money out on a transfer. But lets hope the club is moving forward in positive ways we don't see yet.

Guys, let’s not be like other clubs fans. Let’s hope that this young lad develops into a beautiful forward and makes us proud. He hasn’t done us anything bad. This is not a ‘Dembele’ situation, where he owes us his loyalty for support him. Very young, clearly talented and he would have been a 3rd choice at best with Roque and Lewa here. All in all, a good decision to leave the club at such a young age. Wish he would have gone into a better club, but whatever helps him develop I guess. That’s my 5 cents.

I know this will sound petty and shallow but it has to be said. I am SUPER GLAD this happened to this young man and I am sure he will do extremely well there, as long as they give him playing time. I am tired of waiting for the club & Xavi to give him a chance. I no longer care whose fault it was for the lack of playing time. On the other hand, I do hope this is a lesson the club will learn but I am not holding my breath as history, it seems, is repeating itself.

well, chelsea have a weird habit of signing players from barcelona who go on to be successful, so maybe this will be another one. If I was a player, I probably wouldn't want to go to chelsea with their situation and recent performances. At the same time, if I was in Guiu's position, this move would be a low risk, potentially high reward decision so I really don't blame him at all. I wish him the best, and maybe if things turn out well, he can return to the club.

Another potential top striker from La Masia gone. The release clause for some of our young talents is too low. I hope this does not negatively affects Marc Guiu's development in his football career.

I don't really get it seeing as he was basically next in line for the #9 at Barca. Yeah he's a bit different, but not that different, and already seen to be effective so does seem a bit odd. Obviously money still talks because sportingly, unless Hansi has had a word and said otherwise, he was set for a good Barca career. We have a lot of attackers but not central. Odd choice for me.

Except for money i dont see any reason to leave barca especially at a time where we can sign big players and chances are handed out to youth players. Lewa who is a striker in his position probablywill be rested a lot this season, he could’ve cemented his position like yamal if he had stayed
