Alaphilippe is a big reason I got back into cycling after heart surgery 10 yago. Watching him hold the yellow jersey in 2019 against the odds and watching how he fights and demonstrates panache every day is so unique. I'd be willing to bet that his favorite racing memory is about a race he didn't even win. Hirschi showed so much promise with SunWeb, and seemed to disappear for a bit. Nice to see him enjoy a moment in the "sun" again!
Good to see Alaphilippe back at the front end. That accident some time ago took a lot out of him but under normal conditions at his best, he animates races and it would be good to see him at his best again. Hopefully he's near that.

What was Alaphilippe doing? That might take worst finish performance of this year so far. Looking at the DNF list. . . Holy what the hell happened? Was there a climb split or something else like everyone sapped from the TDF?
@@charlesk9683 are you even watching cycling ? Kwiatkowksi missed a victory by doing the same mistake at the tour. Leading the breakaway and waiting for someone from behind to start the sprint. When youre leading and see that it remains less than 200 meters you dont wait to start your sprint... at least if youre smart
