Today we're taking a look at Marc Jacobs Re-edition Bags. Marc Jacobs has rereleased the Q Collection including the Marc Jacobs Karlie, Marc Jacobs Natasha, Marc Jacobs Lil Ukita and Marc Jacobs Hillier Hobo. The Marc Jacobs Q collection was originally released in 2007 and the brand has decided to release four of the most popular bags from the Q collection to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the collection's release. But I couldn't help but wonder... was the rerelease of this collection what we wanted?
If you're into channels that include luxury fashion, shopping, luxury unboxings and reveals, luxury travel, and daily vlogs- basically anything that has to do with life and style, then this is the channel for you! I refused to get rid of my Hillier a few years back, and I’m so glad . I added a xl guitar strap, and it’s the best bag for all days outings, even traveling. Fits a water bottle, iPad, thin sweater, Tupperware, wipes and more! Never scared to take it to an amusement park, and the pebbled leather holds up very well :)

Ps my friend who isn't my friend anymore wears that big hobo tote for all of her drugs and party supplies. It's worn where his armpit sits but the bag never broken so I guess that's a selling point lolol

How crazy that you released this video today,! You’re talking about the re-released collection but I am obsessed with the classic Marc Jacobs bags, and have been stalking pre-loved sites for the beige (neutral) Carly. I have it in black already but really want it in beige. The gold chain strap is so pretty. I will never pay the original price point when I can get it pre-loved in very good condition or better at around $125 or less. I have the Hillier in black (also pre-loved) which was in excellent condition for (get this) $105! 🙆🏻‍♀️

Whats are your thoughts on the black Marc jacobs baby groove bag from the same collection… it’s $247.50 at the moment and I’m debating getting it or not for everyday/back to school (I checked the dimensions and my I pad fits lol) but idk if it’s worth it or not 😕

That’s a really good question. Personally if I were on the fence about it, I wouldn’t buy it. I always try and ask myself if I’ll regret not having that bag 6 months from now, and if the answer is indifferent, I pass on it.

I LOVE Marc jacobs and I’ve owned a few over the years. I have had a few lil Ukitas and they are great!!I ordered it in black the day he re released it and still haven’t received it. Once you use it, you can push the top handle down and out of the way

I wasn't able to get the natasha back when it first came out but now that it's re-released I'm really considering getting it this time around it was my favorite crossbody, this and the Gucci Soho disco.

I sold my old classic Q Fran and large Natasha bags and I regret it so much, but I understand what you're saying about the plaques lol. I kind of missed the black/white lining. I still may get the Natasha if it goes on sale.

Hi Caleb! One of my first contemporary bags was a Marc Jacobs Fran in gray (yes, the lining was meh). The leather was superb. I think I let it go to buy my first LV. I think is petal to the metal bags (with the bird designs) are still a vibe.

I am so happy that these bags are back. I use to just adore them but way too expensive for me before. I just ordered a Lil Ukita in Argan oil. I am going to buy the Hillier too in black. The only reason i didn’t buy these Preloved is i have a very sensitive nose and most preloved i bought stank. So never again. I will gladly pay more to make sure it doesn’t stink.

I literally just retired my Classic Q Isabelle two weeks ago! They are amazing bags! The quality of leather is awesome. No wear and tear on the leather! Quite a bit of wear in their hardware though… I wouldn’t buy the re-edition. I agree they could have brought out much better models! Do you think this ‘revival’ will be successful?

I really like the Isabelle, I think that might have been a better crossbody to rerelease than the Natasha. The leather on the Q collection is so good- I love it, and it wears really well. I'm not sure if this revival will be a success- I think the 4 models they brought back are too similar and not enough colors in my opinion.

I love Marc Jacobs, I did notice he used some of his LV designs and incorporated them into his own line but I also noticed Michael Kors totally copy the MJ LV silhouettes and to me that was a bit off putting, come up with your own unique designs! I have the same MJ line you do, the LV version. I’m trying hard not to get sucked up into contemporary handbags cause I could go nuts buying! I love Kate Spade, Coach, Ted Baker, Tori Burch, the list goes on, so I try to hold it together and save for a luxury piece, it’s hard, so much temptation out there! 😜

Another RE-Edition 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ Not a fan of this collection although I still have a nylon Marc by Marc Jacobs bag with a plaque (yes, you heard me) that I will never get rid of because it is really light and super practical. Fashion is always reinventing itself every 20 years or so… so hold on tight to those bags and they will make a comeback one way or another 😅

SO AGREE WITH EVERYTHING!!! Plaques on bags are such an eye sore! Those LV's and D&Gs did NOT age well AT ALL!!! Marc Jacobs last few years at LV was soooooo weird! like he was truly phoning it in. Maybe it was creative burnout or he had beef with LVMH but remember the RTW collections all looked the same? Louis Vuitton fall 2012: big ass hats, Marc Jacobs fall 2012: big ass hats. Louis Vuitton Spring 2013: Mod Checker, Marc Jacobs spring 2013: Mod Stripes Louis Vuitton fall 2013: depression era hooker, Marc Jacobs fall 2013: depression era hooker As much as i LOVED Marc's LV, I'm glad he stepped down, I remember it being soo frustrating every season seeing the same ideas recycled. At least he went out with a bang with spring 2014.

Hi, I have just bought a baby groovee re-edition at 50% discount and I’m ecstatic. My first designer bag was Lil Ukita, I still use it and love it. I find it funny how you hate the plaque but own LV monogram bags which in my opinion are much tackier. Don’t mean this as a criticism, just saying people have different tastes. I love your videos!

Hi Lindy! I think you may have misunderstood my standpoint on MJ- I absolutely love his designs and era at LV. I just may not have been the biggest fan of the MJ Q re-editions, and that's okay, we're all allowed to have different taste and express them respectfully. I have the Ukita with no strap. Kinda looks like a Natasha but with a top handle lol. Had the Natasha back in the day and although practical af, the zipper on the flap was my worst nightmare sometimes. About the ukita, I got it from a thrift shop for $25 😄 and I still see them around for that price. The metal smells like cat pee and I have never gotten past the thought "maybe I should wear that bag" and this release won't be egging that thought on lol.. Marc has lost his mind or has forgotten his identity in fashion? Hopefully this is symbolic of a start over cause all his main and sub lines are ugly and annoying to figure out what is what. He's become like Halston at the end of it all :( so sad. Louis Vuitton, your kid is waiting in the carpool- pick him up already!!

@@CalebSnell I literally work in marketing too so I should quit 😄 Marc Jacob's needs to scrap everything and do 1 line and that really affordable stuff he had in the one cheap and cheerful shop where items were like tourist prices in NY. The Heaven line is pretty cool, maybe look into that one. It uses old Marc Jacob fabrics and inspired by the 90s y2k Era of his! I'm rolling a j*int for Marc Jacob's maybe he'll chill out lol.
