Shann! Do not use the cover fx custom cover drops alone! They're not meant to be used alone, I work at Sephora and the cover fx brand rep trained us on it. You always need to mix it with something otherwise it will transfer everywhere and have no staying power what so ever! Great review on the remarcable btw!

I have both this foundation and primer, and I've found the perfect way to use them: I mix them on the back of my hand (or palette). It was actually recommended to me by MJ makeup artist. The result is f l a w l e s s. Just perfection- like a second skin. My HG combo. You can adjust the coverage depending on the foundation/primer proportions.

I have the Marc Jacobs foundation and I learnt that keeping it upright at all times and cleaning the crew cap Everytime I use it (either with my brush or a makeup wipe) really helps keep it from being messy and gross.

I have SUCH a love/hate relationship with this foundation. I have normal/combination skin. The coverage of the foundation is AMAZINGGG. Literally, it makes your skin look flawless when you apply it & I find you need a very small amount - a small amount of product goes a long way. I went through 3 different colours for this foundation & all of them were WAY too pink or WAY too yellow. I have two colours in my drawer & they're both way too orange on me. I also found that if you have any hair of your face, it can cling to it. I didn't even know I had hair on my upper lip till i used that foundation 😂 So be careful with that. I always want to use it but I don't want to look orange lol. I'm tempted to try a bunch of sample from Sephora to see if I can find my perfect match because I want to use the foundation so badly!

I work at sephora in Australia and let me tell you, that packaging can definitely use some work haha. All the testers we have constantly need cleaning and maintenance because the product goes everywhere and because it's so concentrated, it's super hard to completely wipe off with ease. I wasn't even surprised when you began by explaining the poor condition the product arrived in!

Living for this foundation! It is so comfortable to wear! You only need a little and you look amazing. I think it applied best with a flat top blending brush rather than the beauty blender. Just like the name states is re(Marc)able!

I ended up purchasing this foundation since it is SO gorgeous and doesn't feel heavy on my skin. The bottle is what I dont like since it gets so messy, but it is worth the trouble since it wears so well. I have combination skin (oily t zone, normal to try cheeks/eye area), and it wears well, I typically wear only one drop so I get a lighter coverage, but still the longwear time.

It get's a more shinny in the center of my forehead if it's not set, if I use a setting power it stays mostly the same unless it's super hot out.

I have typically more dry skin, but sometimes it's not too bad. Let me tell you though, this foundation WILL cling to dry patches. That's a guarantee. When my skin is not AS dry, the foundation gives great coverage, does not get oily, and just looks pretty good overall. When I am more dry than usual, I stay far from this. But as she says this foundation REQUIRES hardcore blending. I'd say it's a good buy for semi-dry skin though (:

I have both :) I think they give very different but equally pretty effects on the skin. I think you best option is to get samples of each if you can, so you can see how they work on your skin :)

Marc Jacobs face lll buffing brush is recommended but I use a buffer brush like the F80 from sigma or something a little more fluffy like the real techniques multi tasker.. I'm sure a beauty blend works well too, might sheer out the coverage a bit :)

I have combination/oily skin , my t-zone specifically my nose. I am in the shade 86 Cocoa Deep. For reference, I am a MAC NW50. I love this foundation, I got a sample at Sephora. The coverage on the foundation is amazing. If you have oily/combo skin, I suggest using a mattifying and pore filling primer because you skin will get oli. I used the MUFE Skin Equalizer Mattifying Primer, I wished I used a pore filling primer, so I can control my oil a bit longer. My oils did not come through until my 6 or 7th hour, which is good for me. There is only one problem I have, the foundation seems to look a little grey. A lot of RU-vidrs who are women of colour, have also said that, but I set my face with a pressed powder that is my shade, so it helps cancel the grey. I would recommend this foundation. Get a sample first, before going to fork out the money to buy this foundation.

I bought this, in the shade Ivory 12, and I have oily skin. It seemed a bit orange on me when I matched it to my chest, but when I put on powder, contour etc it was literally the PERFECT shade. I have a neutral undertone but can get away with yellow undertones in foundations, but the lighter shade would have been too light and pink toned. I think they need to sort out their pale shades, cause so many people have to buy both the lightest shade and Ivory 12 (although that probably suits marc jacobs!) But still, so pleased :)

I did have that problem as well.... Try the hangover primer and try blending the foundation out with beauty blender and remember less is more :)

The exact same happened to me as you - started off flawless and semi-matte. Personally, I needed about 4,5 dots for one side and is super full coverage. Then my T-zone, especially nose, started to look more shiny (as in greasy shiny) every hour. My skin is oily...And by 8 hours, my normal-dry skin looked flawless but my oily spots were cakey and shiny. Maybe wearing this only in the normal-dry area is best and use a matte foundation on oily spots.

I like to mix this foundation with a Smash Box BB Water to add a little more hydration and I smooth it on with my fingers (MAKES YOUR PORES COMPLETELY INVISIBLE) then I buff it out with a brush. I love this foundation! I wore it in the winter with no issues and it will be my Summer foundation as well.

I bought this foundation + the primer at Sephora for 2-3 weeks ago, and I reeeeally love it. I have very dry skin with a lot of acne and pores (I am on accutane). The foundation cover my acne like a dream. The acne does not disappear completely, but all of the redness goes away. The bumps will still be visible - obviously. I have never used anything like this foundation. When I recently tried my other old favorite foundation (Estee Eauder - Double Wear), I got very disappointed of it - it does not cover nearly as much as the Marc Jacobs Remarcable. Hey shaan if you mix it shake it the consistency changes to a more fluid liquid then all you need is three dots to cover the entire face

It definitely will work .. Depending on your primer and setting powder I have oily skin and it lasts a long time on my skin ... I love it

It lasts forever on me and my skin is super oily! Only complaint is that it really seeps into my pores.

+Jennifer Mathisen If you could get a sample maybe just try that before committing as it is a very expensive foundation! I feel it would maybe cling to dry patches. I have normal skin and i really had to buff it in to a well moisturised base and still found i had to be really careful to blend well so it didn't have cakey patches.

Hi l know its late. But l have normal to dry skin but my T zone will get oily through out the day. Do you think this foundation is good? I heard Too Faced born this way is easily transferred. My holy grail for years is Nars Sheer Glow but l feel like changing to something else. And my Sephora won't give out samples thats too bad. And we also cannot return the foundation to Sephora. I'm scared to commit!

Nadia Leeyana the born this way stays on very well. it's the best foundation I've tried for dry skin. the parts of your face that get oily, you can just use a powder over top. it's moisturizing enough for my dry skin, without making it shiny.

I got this foundation yesterday at sephora and I tested with the lightest shade in the store. I applied it today and I applied WAY to much! very easy to go overboard. I looked like a ghost! I'm hoping to give it another go with only three to four dots like you said before I return it. it may be too hardcore for me. I'm not usually a full coverage kind of girl but I have heard such great reviews on it and wanted to try. love your videos. I started making good some myself too.
