The show was on my B-day (14th september). I remember being alone in Spain and it was my first time watching a Marc Jacobs fashion show. I watched it live online with a nice drink and some chocolates...the clothes, colors, music and Marc blowing a kiss at the end....I was high on emotions...best birthday ever !!!
1970's rivival? Yes, definitely one that would make Yves Saint Laurent extremely proud. Marc Jacobs is a genius and everthing he creates is fantastic! I'm constantly doodling pieces from this show in French class.
Fun Fact About This Show: Marc Jacobs PERSONALLY asked the reclusive makeup artist Francois Nars (he was living literally on his own personal island) to come to NYC to do each individual models makeup for this show. By himself. He thankfully said yes! Rare indeed!!!!
oh my god i think the united nations world food programme needs to donate food for these models.. jesus start eating people there are tons of children dying of starvation, but you who can afford to eat neglects or chooses not to eat just to look good? better yet just give the money to those who are in hunger then.
@theash16 Obviously you don't much like fashion. So why are you here? 70's are a big influence, modles typically don't give sleazy smiles like they are in a beauty pageant. And they are not that skinny. Just sleek and healthy. if you want to see people in some khakis with fuller figures, may I suggest the Target catalog.
it's not about wearable, this collection is only selling a retro attitude, bold, sassy, hippie, Taxi Driver livestyle. it's all about art. Summer by Vivaldi makes the theatrical show a perfection!
This music repeated for the full show? The beauty of Vivaldi's piece is in its brevity. Stretched out and repeated for 10+ minutes it give me indigestion. I was in a state of panic by 5 minutes and couldn't even concentrate on the clothes.
This show is incredibly boring. The fact that the models look completely pissed off at the world doesn't help either. I know they're not suppose to be grinning but geez, what's with the angry faces?! :O
As the models walk I hear a sound in my mind like -- Toink toink toink . .right left right and left . . toink toink toink . . like pogo stick fashion . .
@butterballbubble uuuum thats Jamie Bochart, thats actually Marc Jacobs personal Muse, used her in 3 of his campaigns actually.. so get informed first.
