Yes. The original version by Queen is the stamp. This version by Marc Martel alone is unique in its own way. He played it solo with a piano and executed it with perfection. His piano technique and voice gave major credit to Freddy Mercury. Will people begin to see Marc Martel as Freddy? Marc is multi talented in his own right and very artistic. How I wish that Marc gets more recognition. It was sad to think of Freddy's death but it is a joy to know Marc Martel is alive.

This performance is one of the greatest musical performances of the last five years. He does it live, while playing the piano, and blends the layers provided by four musicians. It’s stunning.

your are correct re: the high notes. :) marc is truly amazing, i've been following him for about the past two years. he is worthy of any & all praise headed his way--many people do not consider how marc is doing these songs day in & day out, live, on tour, & he always executes a flawless performance, keeping notes that even freddie didn't typically go for live, likely because he didn't take as good of care of himself & his voice as marc. i'm grateful he's bringing queen's music to a new generation. i'll be seeing his queen tribute band in july, can't wait.

Good point about the "new classical music", people treat covers like it's a lesser art for whatever reason. That's the wrong way of looking at it, especially when it is done with Marc Martel's level of excellence.

True Queen will become the classical music of the future generations. Since yesterday when I found Marc, I watched all videos and some of them many times. I'm speechless how good he is! I loved Freddy and Marc did something magical. He brought back a unforgetable time of my life when Freddy was around! He's really amazing. This is the man who should be with Queen. I understand that the members don't want to replace Freddy but many young people who can't have a live concert with Freddy would have the chance to have a simular experience with Marc than with Adam. Thank you for your take on his rendition.

To the best of my knowledge, Roger Taylor (drummer) performed the high harmonies, John Deacon (bassist) did the close middle harmonies with Freddie and Brian May (guitarist) performed the bass harmonies.

A further "commentary". This i like. Here, finally, simeone had the guts to say almost the truth. Freddy, a great boy scout, selfmade and with a lot of missing parts here and there and a lot of mistakes on his singing live. Mistakes and missing corrected in his studio recordings. Mark, a voice including an entire orchestra. No mistakes. Here only one. No missings. He has first a natural talent and Second, he studied music instrument play, he performs well several instruments. So he is blessed by nature and promoted at full votes for his constant work to perfection. So, if Freddy was a super boy scout, Mark is a Master. Thanks for reading.

Yeah Freddie was not really trained to protect his voice. He also smoked and drank quite heavily along with all the other fun substances. Add that on top of long shows with a lot of dates. Sure if Freddie just did a recording once in a while he would sound fantastic. Touring like Queen did though is a ton of wear and tear.

Good reaction. I want to introduce you to a Korean singer. She is such an amazing singer and you won't stop being blown away by her every performance! She originally started out as a Gospel Singer in her church and worked her way up from there. But the reason why she is not mainstream and everywhere is since her reasoning for singing is not for fame or money but to sing for God. Michael Jackson's vocal coach once offered to make her a big star worldwide but she declined politely. She is so humble and strong since she had cervical cancer when she was in her young adult life. Please react to her songs, this is just the tip of her amazing singing! But this should get you started.
