I adore Paula Poundstone as a person and as a comic. Her stream of consciousness style, personal and societal insightful honesty, and audience engagement is without equal.
Dear Lord….so much to say…first I adore her so much! She is truly gifted with humor. I swear no matter where I am or what’s going on she can make me belly laugh!! And, I love that she’s been just genuinely her for all these years! Bless her heart. Also…..I have 3 grown kids…most of my life is spent 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 😂😂😂😂!!! She’s such a genius. ❤
I love this woman. Thank you, Paula, for your big brain, caring heart and off the charts humor. I'm living overseas now, will probably never have the chance to see you live. I'm grateful I can track you down on RU-vid. ❤
I finally get to see her live next week after over 30 years of being a fan. I remember being a kid and secretly staying up late to watch her Harvard special and getting in trouble with my parents because I was laughing so much. I think I'm sitting in the second row, which is awesome, but also might have been a mistake. My favorite thing about her comedy has always been her crowd work, but I don't actually want to participate in it. 🤣 (Or maybe I do. I ended up being part of John Mulaney's act and it ended up being really fun, but I was so nervous! I felt like I had to be funny, even though that's his job. LOL)
I did not know she was still doing stand up, I absolutely adore her. Always have.... I was just a few days ago telling someone about her pop tart routine. But her style of comedy, I just love observational, stream of consciousness style of comedy.
Paula Poundstone, I love her. I live in a state with not enough diversity also. It really sucks. However, it is getting better slowly slowly slowly. I was brought up in a state that had diversity on the very street where I lived. A few African-Americans, back then they were referred to as Negroes, and two or three streets over there were many African-American people living there. I believe it helps greatly in my life to be brought up with some diversity.😊❤
Come to my house! I just have obsessive compulsive personality, which drives people nuts. My mother said once that if I’d been in charge of theGulf War we would not have won but we’d know where every damned bullet went! That upset me so much that I forced myself to go the total opposite way. I’m obsessive about NOT being obsessive. Ironically, she had to have all the cans in the pantry had to be arranged by color, and so was her closet. I absolutely love Paula Poundstone. Sadly, I am always disappointed when I tune into Wait wait” and she’s not on the panel. I think I’ve cried at least once. She 100% gets the reason I chose to go into MH care. “ It takes one to know one.” I love you, Paula!
Was it adderall? OMG. Love Paula, she is so smart, funny, and unique. I am happy to have found a recent interview. Now I'm looking recent stand up shows! Any suggestions?
I was crazy about Paula for years. Any time she was on TV I wouldn’t miss her. I stole some of her POP TARTS material because I had to share it! Then, she turned into such a hateful, continuously insulting cruel person. I don’t think ripping up Donald Trump and insulting his voters comes anywhere close to comedy. Obviously she gave up comedy in that time, and just wanted to insult and belittle some of her fanbase. Just reading the blurb for the topics on this show I hope against hope she won’t do that. If she does I’ll have to turn it off, and turn my back on her. It will hurt me. But to become a TOP Liberal Leftist she turned her back on us; we can be conservatives, support Trump’s plans, and still laugh until we cry over Paula. I don’t want to leave her. But I sure as heck will!!
