But when she had a run in with Finn, the first human she’s seen in centuries, and probably the first one able to stand up to her despite her scary exterior, her humanity was re-awakened within her
Considering it’s canon that Marceline listens to Mitski, it makes sense as a lot of her songs deal with themes of loneliness and isolation, which is something Marcy’s all too familiar with. I like to think that during her younger teen years, Mitski’s songs partly helped Marceline cope with her trauma and inspire her to start her music career.

Only about 10 minutes in, but l keep thinking in addition to neglecting quality time with Marceline as the pressure(s) on her grew, when PB said something to the effect of Marceline "acting like Monster-Trash", when Marcy already had issues about feeling like a monster who'd been abandoned by her own mother over it- that PB saying something like that would have been at least as much of a deal-breaker as being told she didn't have time for her.

Her skin is only grey cause she's a demon and Abit more pale cause she's a vampire but if she where full human than her skin would be brown if that helps anyone. Edit: in the new Fiona and Cake series trailers this is in a way confirmed because Marshalee (Marceline's alternate universe human boy counterpart) has brown skin and black curly hair in like braided locks.
She gets her appearance from mostly her father’s side. Same I think for Marshall in Fionna and Cake. It seems he gets his appearance mostly from his mother. I think it seems the demon genes are dominant. But I do like that she still has a human heart from her mom in the way that matters.

Especially, when you talked about how she struggles with vulnerability; and how she eventually, learns; to show her more vulnerable side; of herself. Her growth throughout the miniseries; is, the first moment; in, her whole story; that, showcases real stakes; in her story. There really, was never; a moment in the grand series; that gave a look; at how; her, as a person; deals with conflict; until, she is met with a complication; in, that series. This, of course; is due, to her; being very emotionally passive; and mentally blocking out, the majority; of, what she really should; pay attention to. When Marceline is met; with, real stakes; in the miniseries; she can’t dissociate; or run away from her problems mentally; so, she has to directly face what’s; right, in front of her. In turn, she grows as an individual; to gain maturity; and personality growth. So, in all honesty; everything that, you said; was absolutely positively spot on; about this amazing character. Truly, your video was completely well crafted; and well-made. ✌️

The LGBTQIAP+/GSRM usually use the label queer to refer to themselves so that's usually what constitutes as queer if that helps (Marcy is Bisexual and Bonnie is Lesbian I think), ppl don't usually use the word queer as it used to mean strange because it had been used as a slur and has recently become reclaimed and used as a label that unites people rather than to try to dehumanize or isolate them from others.
@@seanabbott3992 not cool, dude. i totally get that some aspects about the lgbtq community isn't something everyone can wrap around their heads, but not understanding something doesn't automatically mean it's malarky! anyway, i hardly use this word in my vocabulary so i just googled it and from what i can grasp it's just a hecka ambiguous way to say you're trans or gay. yeah it's a slur that got reclaimed but i guess it's really up to the person themself if they feel comfortable using it :P
