the biggest grooming mistakes I used to make were doing a one pass shave against the grain with a cartridge razor before I switched to wet shaving, and shampooing my hair daily (didn't know that was damaging).
I got a perm once and the Justin Timberlake Fro Was a Huge Mistake Dried My Hair Out and I looked ridiculous..I am a birchbox subscriber and love trying new brands
Home made Mo-Hawk that I was often too lazy to style so I just had shaved sides with a weird long patch in the middle. I must've looked like a train wreck, but thought it was so cool at the time.
Biggest mistake I used to make was not wearing sunscreen, I'm only 20, but when I went to a dermatologist for something else she said that's something I should be doing daily which I never really considered, but the pictures of truckers who have had one side of their face exposed to the sun for 30 years really convinces you to change.
The biggest grooming mistake I made was to not wear sun protection every day. I wore it religiously at times but I didn't always keep it up. I urge every guy to make spf his number one priority. Kieh's has two good ones and some of thier other products have broad range uva and uvb protection. I have been taking good care of my skin the last few months and I have pretty much decided Kiehl's is my number one brand. They make it easy to figure out what may work for you and I've managed to find a few products I love ( which wasn't hard, I liked most everything I tried) I must have this bundle 😁👍
If I could have one "do over" for the worst mistake I have made it would be to MOISTURIZE beginning ten years ago. We just don't realize how much as men we need to do this regularly. Now that I can see how awesome some of my Birchbox samples work, I am s believer. I never used to moisturize, now I do morning and night thanks to Birchbox.
I used to wash my body, hair and face all with one cheap body wash. But now I've been using a combination of different products that are centered around each thing I need them for.
The biggest grooming mistake I made was using to many products to clean my face. My skin would get irritated and breakout quicker rather than helping solve my problems! A more simple cleansing routine is definitely the way to go!
I remember back in the 7th grade, I trimmed and shaved my eyebrows. They ended up being extremely thin and uneven. I was so embarrassed. This moment will always live in the infamy of my school photograph.
I just purchased this subscription got my dad. His favorite brand is kiehls, he hunts down their products every month on eBay. My dad had beautiful long rich and thick brown hair while dating my mom. Then he had two girls and the beautiful locks became shiney and smooth.
When I was sixteen I had wavy and course hair. I decided to buy some Dark and Lovely hair relaxer to have nice, smooth hair. It was a disaster; I burned my scalp and I looked ridiculous. After all that, I ended up shaving my head. It wasn't too bad, though. It was summer and just wore a baseball cap until it grew back.
I've heard stories of my Latino brothers using these products to deal with unwanted waves and curl. They've ended up with messed up burns or patches that can't grow back. Keep the curl! It's awesome!
Grooming Mistake: during my high school years I had shoulder length hair, so what I decided to do was cut it all to get a full 4" Mohawk to top things off I dyed my hair purple and used to pour my whole palm full of hair glue to keep it up. In which I thought I looked soo cool lol.
Used to not do anything with the eyebrows... I guess I was okay with a giant long fuzz ball on my face. NO LONGER! they are separated now and cleaned up
My biggest grooming mistake was washing my head and body with bar soap !! I also use to have a mushroom style hair cut that at the time I thought looked cool !! But looking back now WTF !! Was I thinking ???
The weirdest grooming mistake was when I had chest length hair my freshman year of college, which I'd straightened every day...oddly enough I was about 4 years ahead of Jared Leto's ombré and the manbun, so maybe I was just ahead of the pack.
The biggest grooming mistake i've made is going for cheap products. Ive learned to get the best quality, you do need to spend a bit more but the end result will be worth it!
My biggest grooming mistake would have to be putting my skin second third or higher on my priority list of health and wellness. Come on people our skin is after all our largest organ remember and after nearly two decades in luxury beauty/fashion I know very well how a clear, glowing complexion opens doors :-)
In an attempt to try something different, I let my hair grow long. When I finally cut it, a co-worker commented that the new cut was good. I said that it was time to let the old one go. She said "Oh yeah, it was horrible." When I asked why I was never told, she said "we thought you knew!" #friendslikethese
Once as a young emo kid I was rocking a hair cut that I could best describe as the Kate, that lady from Jon and Kate plus 8 show. Yeah I look at those photos now wondering how that was a thing.
I would say my biggest grooming mistake was when I used cover up on my pimples when I was in grade school. Then a girl I had a crush on asked if I was wearing make up. So embarrassing...
Son's mistake was wearing his hair permed and half way down his back long long after everyone else had moved on. Still occasionally tries out the Ben Franklin look.
My biggest mistake was just kind of not trying something new. I ran with the standard "2005 emoboy hair" for around a decade. Once I started rocking shorter hair and shaving daily, I instantly got way dreamier.
I mistook my sister's pepper spray for deodorant and sprayed it on to my underarms and then took a whiff of it. Choked for a solid 5 minutes. Was 11 at the time.
+Birchbox Man the thing is I didn't read the terms and conditions of the vid before commenting coz I got too excited the moment the vid popped up and have been a fan for a long time. I'm living in Australia :/
As strange as it may sound, it was a mistake to rock a clean shaved face. I used to shave all the hair off my face in my teen years. Normally this is alright, but my college friends bluntly told me that I used to look like a dangerous criminal. I've always rocked a goatee ,or at least a mustache, ever since.
Biggest mistake using mousse, gel, and hair spray as a teenager to ensure my hair was perfect. Well that was great during the day but playing sports all that junk would melt away and go into my eyes.
