Hi, just wanted to tell you a little about our lives. I heard your beautiful story!!!! My husband and I will be married 35 yrs. We have a 57 truck like yours. We have a white duramax that my husband and I rebuild the engine together 3 yrs ago. Still runs great! Our daughter had a S10 truck. The dark green color. My husband had a split rim accident in 1985. We started dating July 3rd 1985. He is now is retired because of his accident. He does pretty well for what he has gone through. He is amazing. Our 57 truck has been in our family since day 1. My grandfather/father. Then to me. We started restoring. Yours is in better shape, but ours is just going to some time. We love watching your videos. Like my husband said in the comments, stories are are some of the best part of your channel. You are encouraging others to keep trying. Over the years my husband has been told he was other people's inspiration. Our neighbor is a amputee of right leg. (Earnest) He watches Paul and he says it keeps him going. As Paul watches you and your friend, he has said that it hits close to home. But you may help my husband regain a bit of his courage to keep trying. Keep putting videos out, you are helping others. Thank you Janie Williams, Ohio
I had forgotten all about Sitting together on the Bench Seat in the Car. Those were the good ole days.. Great Build project you have going on. That body looks to be in great shape. I grew up in Ford pickups but that Chevy is my favorite body style. Keep up the great Job you are doing.. Thanks for taking us along..
That's quite a story you and your better half and your friend it's great that he carried on with life .The 57 is coming along and i as well come up with things to help make things a little easier to work on.Well done guy's great video thank you
Wow, your channel is an inspiration. Thanks for showing us your journey. I didn't know that you went to the wrecker games, and that was wonderful to see that you made it out there, and met with the wonderful youtube off-road contestants. Fun stuff. God Bless.
Russ sorry to hear of the passing of your horse . Some times you have animals that come into your life and they force you to love them , it makes it so much harder when they pass .
I worry more about my girl and my sweet wife who is not a horse person, but she loves the animals and takes good care of them especially if they’re sick or cold or tired or hungry . She will be missed.
The record games were a hoot. It was very fun, and the conversations with the RU-vidrs were easy and comfortable and natural. They’re just good people a little crazy and heavy on the throttle but good people.
I have enjoyed your videos very much. I have a 58 that was my grandfather's then my father's. I'm planning a frame swap but was thinking the old school 80s frame swap. I'm not to far from you. I live in Star Valley, Wyoming. Keep up the good work.
The Golden Nugget, awesome! My brother painted that thing. Love the series. I have a ‘57 that I want to put on a Tahoe. Can’t wait to see it when it’s done.
I hope to have those days back in this rig. And by the way, there is a drive-in theater. Still operating about 45 miles from here. I’m gonna have to go check it out when I get it running.
@@russellmcconahay7297 I’m an amputee since 1987, and like you have never let my physical issues get in the way of life. I need to set up a RU-vid channel for my travels
😉👍 I'm glad to see you back with another good video, I was starting the wonder where you were on the project. I am very, very sad, and sorry to hear about your horse. 😥 Was it one of the ones we saw in your previous video? 😉👍 It was nice to see you got out to the Wrecker Games. I think you might be a braver man than me, I wouldn't stand in front of Paul with him behind the wheel if anything, 🤪. 🙏 Wow, Kyle and you I'm sure could be some real inspiration to others with handicaps/disabilities. As a CMA motorcyclist myself, I unfortunately have heard and meet quite a few people that have gotten into life changing motorcycle accidents like Kyle did. It's really awesome to see what you both are able to accomplish even with your disabilities. My mother lost a leg. She never really tried to move forward with that life change like you both have. 😥 She gave up and never walked again, had to be taking care of in a nursing home, lifted and put in wheelchairs and all for the rest of her short 3 years of life, sad passing at only 65. I'm really glad you both were able to keep faithful and keep moving forward even when life changes challenged you. I know it's so hard for so many to do so. I thanks for sharing. 😊👍
@@russellmcconahay7297 yes, the Chevy Viking is the 2 ton version of the Apache, the cab is the same, fenders are wider with bigger openings. I would need Apache fenders and a bed.
Thanks for taking us along your build. Frustration with the radiator for sure, but you did some good frabication and was nice to meet your friend and his determination 👍. Enjoying your videos and look foward to the next part. Thanks and stay safe.
Thanks for coming along for the journey. Yeah, my friend is a go-getter. He still races side-by-side in the desert and builds really fast sand drag cars.
Hi when is the new video coming out been waiting to see what happened to the truck and it seems like you went quiet hope you're doing Health Wise good. Can't wait to see a new video date is Friday August 11th this is the only way I could find the last video you put in on it please finish your truck thank you and God bless
I have been talking with Mitch from Swap time and he says that he is going to get something for the GEN three put together. He does them for the GEN five already so if your Tahoe is newer than mine, don’t know the year cut off but mine is a 2001 which is a GEN three this is his phone number and RU-vid channel. +1 (702) 353-5037 youtube.com/@swaptimeusa Let me know what you find out. I haven’t talked with him for a while. I’m hoping he can help me get this put together also. I know it’s gonna cost but I don’t have any other options.
I haven't figured out much either. Most companies like PSI only offer engine and trans management. Mine is an 2004 tahoe. One suggestion given to me was going with an 99-01 manuel transfer case but would take some custom wiring to do so.
I’m kind of go and step by step I haven’t got to the gas tank everything I do I try to show so there should be no surprises. I need to put together a parts list. Keep working on me. I need to sit down and pull all the receipts together.
@@russellmcconahay7297 we just got our EZ Chassis Swap Tahoe Edition delivered and found an amazing donor Tahoe. All the pieces coming together. Your content is greatly appreciated! Crazy how much of a pain that radiator was too
Good video again...I'm impressed with the tenacity of your Friend to keep on keep'in on, I can relate to the both of you...Ole'Farts like us die with our boots on either in the shop or out on the range! ...😎👍22 ...PS...This might give you some ideas about filling holes in that firewall... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z70JUwvjMd4.html
@@russellmcconahay7297 Pretty cool idea heh? Smart & talented kid that Karl. Check his channel videos, he does incredible sheet metal & teaches us as he goes. For larger holes maybe large steel fender washers (grind them down to fit) will do & then plug the center of the washer with a stamped round? Good luck with the firewall, it'll look great all cleaned up.
It’s on its way. Sorry I’ve been kind of distracted. I have a little farm and I’ve been working on planting getting irrigation ready. I should be back soon.
