Remember playing this at summer music school in the 1960's. Good to hear a march played at sensible marching pace too! I love his Symphony of Thanksgiving.
One of those marches you always remember from your younger years. at Notting Hill, in those days when the band always marched to and from the Open Air.
Great march indeed! Many fond memories marching up and down Queen Street, Auckland City to the open air with Auckland Congress Hall Band and timbrels......great days!
It was great playing in the Palmerston North Citadel Band with Dean Goffin playing the bass-drum, and having the bandmaster having to put him right at times! But he was a lovely, very thoughtful Christian gentleman.
