I tried pauper last week because of the Prof's talk about it. I played Goblins and my friend played Bogles, and it was amazing! We were laughing and having such a great time that we are trying to make a pauper league and get more friends playing it. Wish I had tried this format sooner and looking forward to where it goes!

Thanks for the Pauper content, always interesting to see what we can pick up from the "Draft chaff"! Little note: I feel like you're being very generous about the price of Pauper decks. Most are more around the 40-90$ if you're including a sideboard, a far cry from the 20-30$ they once were. This is even if you buy light played or worse versions of the cards. I love Pauper to death, but please be honest about its rising price. It does noone any favours.

@@TolarianCommunityCollege well, i see it as an effective way to draw into the perfect hand, and/or pitch a ton of things you may want to pitch. If nothing else, you can fill your whole hand with bolt effects and nuke your opponent next turn.

Prof, never stop what you do, you are a RU-vid GREAT! 😎😎🤩 Your very presence drive me to watch episodes of shows like ‘I hate your Deck’ and ‘Game Knights’ that I might not have watched otherwise. In fact I look for your appearance on channels lol 😂 I am a particular fan of a simple ad you did for Game Knights where, Josh was showing off a product, I believe it was ear buds for music and you followed him about as representation of the sound; Josh ALMOST goes into a bathroom with the buds, then thinks to take them out and put the outside the bathroom and avoids a scary situation, and your relieved reaction- just a great ad. You really add to anything you’re involved in!! 😊☺️ Btw no pun was at all intended… 😳

I got one pauper commander and it is Rasaad yn Bashir Master Chef. I think it is really funny that the deck is full of fat bottomed creature and he is the master chef making sure they are all well fed LOL

I personally found Saiba Cryptomancer to be a very interesting card. Not only does it protect your creature against targeted removal, but also against sacrifice effects since you can then just sacrifice the cryptomancer itself. Or both! If it stops a targeted removal spell first, then it will stick around to make their next sacrifice effects useless, turning into a 2 for 1.

It's terrible. There is no way this card will be anything. It's 6 mana to make your first 5/5, then another 5 mana to make 2 more 5/5s. If you want to make 3 5/5s just play ub terror and do it for less than a third of the mana cost ...

I know this video is probably more for the standard pauper format, but in my pauper EDH deck, Seed of Hope fits amazingly with my commander Trelasarra. She's often times scrying the top card, so i know what half of the milled cards are gonna be.

While not pauper, I am making a dog tribal legacy deck with ensnaring bridge and a bunch of 1 power pups. And tarkir duneshaper goes good with snow Hound if it's transformed and I need to replay it to attack when I have 1 card in hand. The deck also plays a play set of watch dog incase my opponent attacks if I have a card in hand. Also fountain watch for protecting my artifacts and spirited companion and what not.

- Mirrodin Avenged, I really wanted another You are Already Dead since Fatal Blow doesn't quite work as proficiently as I want for my Deathtouch Timmies so now I got 8 1cmc cantrips that also on a single point of Timmy damage kills stuff: yes please. - Cosmic Hunger, Instant one sided fight and it can hit planeswalkers - Scrollshift, Instant Blink and draw a card in White for 3cmc :P

I'm pretty sure they won't reprint Snuff Out unless they make a cycle of similar cards to put it in. Probably a card that discards as an alternate cost if you control a mountain, a card that sacrifices creatures if you control a... hm... well the problem is that black kinda has a monopoly on most alternate costs, and it's hard to justify life or sacrifice costs in white, green, or blue or discard costs in white and green unless you're on an edgy plane like innistrad or new phyrexia or if it works with a set mechanic

Beamtown Tick is a nice equipment indeed but I do think that an equally or even more similar card to Ragavan could be the aura "Sticky Finger" that makes you draw if the enchanted creature dies.
