Fun fact: New Zealand, Australia, France and Belgium all have special forces units that use the SAS cap badge to this very day. Nice tune too. Second fun fact: The New Zealand SAS march is the same as the Monty Python theme tune.
The French special forces that uses SAS cap badge (1st Marine Infantry Paratroopers Regiment or 1er RPIMa), has one of their predecessors as Free French paratroopers of the SAS 3rd and 4th squadrons during World War II. Meanwhile the Belgian special forces can trace their origin to 5th SAS in World War II, also known as Belgian SAS squadron, formed from Belgian paratroopers.
