*There's NOTHING like being marched by someone with "Soul Power" in their cadence. All that "murder, death, kill" stuff gets old after a while, but when the caller puts some seasoning on the bars........EPIC.!!!*

Glen, Didn't mean to insult the guy. I'm sure he was a great Marine. I just don't care for that type of cadence. I haven't sung cadence in more than 25 years. I always preferred what we in the Army called Jody cadence. It was quicker and more upbeat. The best cadence I ever heard? Vince Carter on Gomer Pyle USMC. He might not have been a real Marine but he could damn sure call some cadence.

This guy had the BEST cadence EVER! i remember he marched us back to the barracks one day while on team week and i swear i felt pride as we where marching and I almost never felt proud in boot camp. 2001 Charlie company Plt 1010

So i took my acog off and sure enough I found the Day Walker practicing in a parking lot from almost a mile away. If anyone has a voice of god it's him. Oh btw, Oorah SgtMaj!! I could march to it, if I was in the honor guard or something. Its too, slow. But I was looking for more a run or fast pace marching cadence. I missed my Army DS in 1994 cadences, it was more raw. And I noticed that they have banned some of the cadences that I heard back then.

akilla214u2c this is really to develop a new drill instructors tempo. Watch other videos and it's better. You have to notice Marine and Army cadence is entirely different. There's no stories being told in Marine cadence..

This modern cadence sucks. Give me some good old Jody cadence from the '60's. And the Marines got to have a frickin' cd to teach them how to call cadence? It's been 24 years since I retired from the Army but I'm thinking I can do better than that guy. Hmmm. Maybe I'll have to make a video.

As a United States Marine Corps veteran I can testify that while stationed at the U.S. Army installation at Aberdeen Proving Grounds Maryland, that the Army cadence I heard was rather dull, while our platoon was running in cadence past the overweight and unsatisfactory Army platoons!
