Big love from Japan. IF reggae dies, I think that’s what indicates the end of us. I appreciate the energy (i.e., the positive vibe) of the reggae people and the direction that they offer (or visualize). Perhaps, reggae is the purest artifact in communicating love in the sense that it is music (which is essentially auditory) Music leaves people room to ‘imagine’ and reggae provides a domain of contents regarding ‘love’. Love may not be necessary for living but it is surely the best method I know to live happy (or to optimize sustainability). Reggae is key. The question is how well we can utilize. I think that that’s the kind of problem we should be solving using technologies (and I personally think that extreme processing of data i.e., deep learning won’t be necessary in the solution)

Marcia, what can you possibly do for an encore ? you have done it for so long , and have done it well. thank you for all the beautiful music . you are timeless. you are inspirational. we embrace you. thank you for all the years of making relevant music.. you are as beautiful now as you've ever been..you are the queen ..
She right in what she is saying a lot of these so called reggae artist have become worshippers of themselves. I won't name any names because they know who they are.
I am not thrilled about the whole scenario at all, because Marcia Griffith's should have gotten her award a very long time ago. It is totally disrespectful by the government ministers them of Jamaica,I know Marcia Griffith's more than 50 years singing and. She is one of the longest living famale singer in Jamaica, also Judy Mowatt and Rita Marley. These 3 females is the only living icon in Jamaica right now, they are into a different class. From the rest of females singers they are in A class and, the rest or B,C,D going down the line. I am really happy that they still recognized her , during her life time. I don't know if Judy Mowatt got her award, but I know that Rita Marley got her award a good while now. I guessed is when she got sick, the government ministers them gave her the award. I must say that Marcia Griffith's is my favorite female Jamaican singer of all times, I been listening to this lady. From way back then. She is not much too older than me, anyway to the queen 👑 of reggae. Congratulations for this great achievement, which it should have given to you a very long time ago,ok.
You said it right about music as a weapon. Why are the musicians so IGNORANT about that? Not one person wants to say the obvious: They chose to do evil. Time to ADDRESS that maybe? Or stop talking about it. I plan on CHANGING IT. And I started. This lazy approach Jamaicans have taken is why JAMAICA IS SO EVIL AND DEAD in comparison to 1990. I am so disappointed.
I hope that this generation of female artistes would take a page out of Marcia's book. Don't have to be naked and sing demeaning lyrics to be relevant.
