@@DavidDavid-yz2sh 500+ centuries and 5 maximums cmon… i admit he hasnt made a lot of ranking finals but thats mostly due to his weaker mental game he’s definitely talented
for me this is going to be remembered as one of the greatest sporting moments of all time. To make snooker perfection in a final frame in front of the biggest audience... it sent shivers down my spine and a tear to my eye.
I took my dad to watch this game live at the HK coliseum. Thank you Marco, you made my old man and I very very happy. I can't thank you enough. You were absolutely amazing.
@@taiwaigo8519 yes it was him, his dad was the only old guy in the place, the only old guy. good eyes tai. by the way i met somebody named tai, is he your dad?
After having barely played in the pro tournaments in the past couple of years to make a 147, against Higgins, in a deciding frame, and in front of his home crowd. Glorious. What a triumph; well done Marco!! 😁
Higgins was genuinely happy for Marco. Great sportsmanship by the Scottish master for the Hong Kong master's stunning effort. So cool to watch Marco in action again, too, and to see him in such fine form.
It was until today's final, however we don't play snooker in large arena's like this for a reason - you can't see anything....most of this crowd watched it on the screens above. but at least they didn't drop a tv on the competitors head like the last event here....
Just freakin wonderful, that man has been isolated for almost three years! And he does this, in front of 8000 people in HK ! his people, who have been pretty much isolated, until last week, for the past 30 months, in the semi final, in a deciding frame, against John Higgins ! You wouldn’t believe it, if it were in a movie
@@Stevelauchihin Hong Kong is my second home, I live in Australia and before Covid I would visit you 4 times every year for work, been there 60-70 times, until September 2019… and it died. So happy to see my friends from HK able to sit and enjoy ! Emotional for me
@@paulweston5665 It's more a case of him being unable to take part in the World Snooker Tour for perhaps a total of about 3 years. First,he missed a year or more while recovering from eye surgery. Then he needed time to play his way back in and his results suffered, causing him to tumble down the rankings having been up to 8th and a World Championship semi-finalist for the second time. Then, along with some of the Chinese players,he didn't come over to compete for a long time after the Covid pandemic struck, added to which there were no more World Snooker Tour events in China after the autumn of 2019 - as they are having some renewed problems with the virus, who can say when those events will start again there? Marco was given a wild card to stay on the World Snooker Tour, but now that he's back to his best it'll be interesting to see how far he can climb back up. Players have falled well below the elite Top 16 and got themselves back up there,Mark Williams being the classic example, and Joe Swail was another who I remember doing it.
I never imagined I could witness a 147 live, let alone from Marco. I started filming thinking Marco was about make his first century of the match WITHOUT realising he was on a 147. There's just no way.... In front of the home crowd, being second best for the majority of the match, decider against the all-time great John Higgins, eye surgery, falling off the rankings... then a 147? It was magical beyond words. My life is now complete. Thank you, Marco 🇭🇰❤️
I am Hong Kong men and watch at stadium live today....it unbelievable and greatest break at last flame come back to win... he make the fan cry and so happy today,,,and John is so happy smile and warm blessing when marco finish 147,,,,respect John and Marco 🥰
That was one of the coolest scenes ive seen in snooker, a 147 in front of a roaring home crowd jus when he sat back on table an took in the applaud, sooo glad to have fu back on the tour always was a special player
you kidding me, it a about shame about the covid situation, but also kinda funny because hes a top 10 player always has been, yet his opponents dont expect that because of where he is in rankings and also his little gap in play.
@@ISOLATICN1 no, this is a massive moment for Marco, he’d been on the slide before Covid, I’m so happy that he’s managed this, in front of his fans, after Covid, after a form slump and eye surgery ! It’s a magical moment, from a fan who visited HK 4-5 times every year until this Covid curse hit us
Wow. Fantastic. So happy for Marco, after all that he’s been through. I watched the first two frames of this match and had to go out. Am kicking myself I missed this Live. Must have been magical!
I’ve met Marco a few times and he is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet! After what he’s been through last few years I couldn’t be happier for him! Well done 👏
This is like a dream! Unbelievable! Have been waiting long for Marco to come back after 2017 and it proves he is still in the form! Wish to see him back in top 16!
oh my god!!!!!!!!!! Local boy on his come back, infront of full arena, decider frame against Higgins, every ball he potted was clapped and celebrated through out the break. wow. best scenes for a snooker Lover. Weldone Fu
I’m moved watching this in home HK. He was stuck in struggles after his eye surgery followed with COVID closure and disruptions. Despite these, I believe he has still strived to practice and keep the form as seen in the 2 matches with Selby and Higgins. It made me recall the rebound of the movie Rocky today. Most of all, he deserves the win and applause not only by his efforts and dedication to the snooker career, but also his good characters and the acts of giving back to the society. He’s humble, sincere, gentle, patient and friendly as always - recalling the years of being the neighbour of this gentleman in Hong Kong from the early to mid of 2000s. Wish him continued recovery of the eyes, further career success and happy family. Move on, Marco! God bless you.
Marco Fu is one of top player Love watching his game. To make a 147 in a decider in front of such a crowed is just amazing. Great job Marco Deserve the trophy
Usually I want O'Sullivan to win everything, but part of me can't help but want Fu to win the final. Such a great crowd deserves to see their man win, and what Fu has done this week has been nothing short of outstanding.
what an incredible personal moment it must have been for him, being in hong kong and all and in front of such a large home crowd. a special ocassion for sport in general i would say.
So Happy for Marco Fu, to do a maximum in front of his Home fans must've been a special moment in his Snooker career and what an Arena to do it at, 5,000 fans, unbelievable 👏👍
It was a incredible match and a pleasure to watch I am so happy for Marco and is family and friends watching such a great player and I hope he returns back we're he belongs in the Elite of the top 16
The crowd applaused every single time Marco pots a ball until he completes his 147s. Even Alex Higgins didnt get that in the past. These Hong Kong spectators are really sympathetic
🙇♂️ I bow down , what a performance. Right up there for me alongside ronnie’s 5:20 seconds . In terms of the context as well . Even just a tad bit higher . wow 😯. Respect 🫡 Marco fu .
Absolutely this is the most heart touching and unforgettable frame in my life. Welcome Marco is back and wishing him make a good game with Ronnie tomorrow!
Marco Fu: *exists* Audience: **clapping and cheering** Jokes aside, that was a great 147, so thrilled to have Fu back on the stage :) if he can continue this form he might grab a couple of titles during the season.
What a way to register your comeback after a gap in front of one of the biggest snooker crowd and specially at home turn..... Welcome back again Marco we missed you.
