Marco è un cantante eccezionale e lo ha dimostrato ancora una volta. E mi auguro di cuore che porti “Due vite” all’Eurovision.. perché al di là della vittoria o meno, merita di essere ascoltata da tutti. Ti entra nell’anima.. ma capisco che gli interessi commerciali la fanno da padrone e purtroppo bisogna dire che all’Eurovision contano soprattutto quelli e canzoni dal testo profondo e musica da ballata non vengono apprezzate. Al di là della bravura del cantante.

Thanks for your video. Marco is the most beautiful male voice we have in Italy, he is known as a very sweet, sensitive and emotional guy, which makes him even more special. Here it was the first evening of Sanremo and he was very excited and also had a fever and sinusitis, despite this he sang wonderfully! ❤️ The songs presented in Sanremo are meant to be the best Italian song and not for Eurovision, where a different style often prevails, but this is real music and it could still win. The song is about the inner conflict we all struggle with, that's why he feels the song very much in his heart while singing it. The text speaks of two parts of the same person, the conscious and the unconscious that talk to each other, the life of dreams that collides with that of reality. Truly a deep and emotional meaning, a beautiful music that together with the text take the audience into a dreamlike scenario. Furthermore Marco is an excellent interpreter, this makes the difference and makes this song perfect, because he transmits all the emotions to the audience that watches and listens to him, even to a foreign audience that does not understand the Italian language and this says everything about what a great artist is Marco.

Absolutely masterful...such control...and the passion wow...do not understand a word...not a word but it does HIT you in the chest and gives me chills. Having seen the songs so far _ I just cannot see how this cannot win...problem being that in ESC this kind of song is often overlooked by a youner audience that like an entertainment event....Portugal was the last truly classical song to win.. Come pare this to Croatia that will get votes for entertianment novelty....but it cannot stand up to this. Marco was in Euro back in 2013 and is well known throughout Europe....xxx

In my opinion, the Eurovision song contest presents mediocre quality music, it's a big bandwagon I have to whoever makes the most noise and scenography gets votes, not to mention the political strategies that will not be missing this time either, Marco Mengoni is a high-level artist he is musically refined, and with the ability to excite (it is his strongest side), therefore I don't think he will reach a high position at Eurovision, but it must be said that Marco Mengoni does not need to shine at Eurovision, he is already a star of Music

Marco is a great performer, but the song is nothing special: a too traditional ballad, with a predictable and not original refrain.

He won Sanremo in 2013 and went to Eurovision in 2013 with the song L'Essenziale (you can find his Eurovision performance on YT). He is a welllknown singer. He won best MTV European Act in 2013 and have hundreds of platinum, gold and silver records.
