As the GOP presidential ticket continues to spread false claims about immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, Republican Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida tells "Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan" says "the cats and dogs thing has gotten way more coverage than the real world impacts" of immigration.

Trump supported this bill because it actually had some teeth. The dems border bill was not going to stem the influx of migrants, it would just make the process of their entry smoother. She's more interested in debating politicians than focusing on the root issues... "words matter" good grief, of course that's true, but she uses it as an attack line...maybe SHE should use words to describe the actual issues causing problems rather that focus on the exaggeration of those issues. Exaggeration brought the national media's interest... attacking the exaggeration doesn't obviate the fundamental problems. Wondering if Brennan is aware of the habit she has of saying “yes” or “right” when her guest is making a point. For example: when Rubio re “the dogs and cats thing” says it shouldn’t be a distraction from the fact thousands of people are moving into small towns like Springfield, Brennan interjects with a “yes.” One isn’t sure if it’s because she agrees with his assertion as a fact or premise, or that her response is simply a tic on her part. What if she could just listen in silence to people like Rubio speak without seeming to endorse their faulty logic?
