Marco Sfogli e Ibanez RG Premium - The Reaction 

Can't believe that 11 years ago, the sound and this video are still pure awesome and never looks so old!!!

Back to this video after 10 or so years. The tone, the playing, phrasing, shredding is just so perfect. What a killer guitarist.

His phrasing AND choice of notes are so much better than so many famous shredders out there. So many guitar players tend to forget that which notes you play is far more important that how many notes your playing or how difficult whatever your playing is!

I lost the count of how many times I've watched this video..Sfogli's tone is just so beautifull and matches his style so perfectly.

Italians have a legacy to maintain.

Marco Sfogli is the best guitar player I've ever heard. His compositions are incredable ... unique style.

I remeber watching this because I wanted to know about the guitar back in the day. There was just a random italian guy I had never heard of playing guitar like he invented it. I came back like 4-5 years later and this still is one hell of a performance I enjoyed every second of it.

the way that amp sounds is just astounding. You can just hear the power coming from it when he plays the riff. id give anything for his setup.

It's funny how sometimes we remember people in connection with something - like a guitarist we see on youtube being always with guitar. I remember seeing Marco Sfogli on some guitar expo without guitar, walking around like regular guy wearing a hoodie - it took a while for me to look at him and wander where I know this face from :) Lovely song and sound!

This guy is the epitomy of amazing guitar playing. You have the feeling that there is so much more under the hood that he doesn't show. He could be blazing fast but he chooses to talk instead of spew notes at hypersonic rates. He could, but he chooses not to. Awesome work.

DiMarzio, Mesa Boogie and Ibanez could not have a better advertisement for their quality. That Mark V combo sounds fucking lethal. Marco is a world class player and composer. Superb technique!!

Amzaing as always. Someone said that we can hear the influence of Andy James in Marco playing. I have to admit that i dont really think it's definitely Andy's influence. I believe, that we hearing huge influence of Andy Timmons. :))

Before I met Sfogli, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, those were my guitar gods. However, Now, I can pretty much sure that Sfogli could smoke them in terms of playing skills and sense of creativity. Those legendary guitarists are great, but at the same time, If Sfogli had been born at the time of 80s, He would definitely been the hero of the guitar instrumental scene.

This would have to be one of the best performances i Have EVER seen...the tone, expression, emotion and phrasing is amazing.Marco is awesome, i will be waiting to see if this comes out on an album....

Marco is quickly becoming one of my favorite guitarists. Those Ibanez RGs are awesome. I have a 1990 RG570 with an Air Norton and Steve's Special that rocks. I also have an RG1XXV which is also a beast, but I'd take the 570 anyday due to the MIJ label.

I could listen to this guy for days and not get tired. U can tell his influences, yet he has his own "voice." great phrasing and some really neat use of quarter note triplets in his phrasing to prevent monotony.
