Believe me I was child in the 80s & grew up with Marantha Music before Marcos Witt recorded his 1st Worship album Proyecto AA in the early 90s were as I was teenager in High School then. Marcos Witt just has a longer longevity as a Praise & Worship minister. However Miguel Cassina, another Mexican Worship leader pioneered Worship music before Marcos Witt. However he left his beginning prime yrs of Worship ministry in Latin America to pastor in Spain & kept a lower profile.
He speaks it perfectly, but you can tell he's had a large exposure to the Spanish language, because, here and there, he has tiny microscopical accent. Amazing.
He’s From Mexico. Even though he was born in Texas, he grew up in Mexico and it wasn’t until his late 20s that he permanently moved and lived In America.
his parents were white american missionaries. in regards to ancestry, he is simply white. but, yes, he grew up in Mexico because of his parent’s missionary work in Mexico. therefore, his family probably spoke english at home among themselves.
