Head injuries are the worst but your coach is right you’re already the GOAT no point risking the head for another couple of competitions. Rest up and protect the dome piece!
A wise decision, my man. Been following MK for some time now and I have to admit I’ve almost never looked at his competition finishes. His style is what sticks out the most. It’s innovative and bold - something we’ve never seen before. I understand medals keep sponsors and sponsors keep food on the table. But, what seems to define MK is his style and now, his character. Lucky to have such great coaches and teammates. And HUGE kudos to his camera buddy who captures the best of MK 🙌🏼

I appreciate your openness in sharing the difficult conversation. It's not fun getting scolded and to not be able to do what you love. I have a minor injury, but I have to take a break from dancing and possibly miss a comp in order to properly heal so this is helping me with the hard feelings. "It will never be enough" is so real. Thank you for being vulnerable and get well soon!

Oh no! Get well soon! I had a concussion too last winter, had to basically live in a dark room without any screens or nothing for about a month. Take your time to heal. Ty to avoid giving you’re head to much stimulation to in the week after a concussion.
I have to recognize how good you were able to get the message across of what there really is behind a concussion. It happened to me as well to have few bad ones close together and it's difficult to give an idea of what your body and mind experience. I am hugely happy that Marcus was able to make the hard choice of skipping XGames, we only got one head and healing it has to be the biggest priority. You're the best, take your time and you'll get back again at the top as always.

i really needed to watch this video, i caught a nasty edge and hit my head pretty good a month ago, had really loud ringing in the ear and the sun was very intense to be outside and see the next day, it was very hard to fall a sleep, than i hit it again catching a back edge on the rail, got worst again, now starting to feel better, but definitely trying to take it easier.
Not an easy decision to make, but it's the right one - well done you for looking out for your health so that you can ride again in the future. Rest up and much love!

Gutted for you MK. Was looking forward to rooting for you at X games. Smart decision though. Gotta take care of the brain. I'm just getting over a concussion now from a skier running into me over the Holidays. Hope you heal up quick! Once your better keep those edits coming riding at your local spot - it's my favorite thing to watch on YT.
It's sad to hear that you have such a rough time this winter and that you can't even compete in xgames but it's the right decision to take care of your body and let your head really fully heal. I can slay the competitions next winter again and I can't wait to see that 😉

It’s crazy how second nature it is for pro athletes when doing their sports. My man was definitely concussed and he’s doing crazy flips and spins without even thinking
Good luck. Rest and come back as a viking warrior with one or two of your new tricks of yours. It is difficult now for sure, but life lasts long, what is a couple of weeks in front of years in good condition? That video explains very well the situation where athletes put themselves sometimes. I like that. You have company, family and friends for theses moments, enjoy them.
allows you to give the other contestants a chance this year before you get better, come back next year, and get triple gold. we just gotta give the snowboarding GOAT some time to rest and heal.
