@@whappiking4584 she did hit the R/B top with 4 times but by her disign she chose not to venture into the limelight she rather back ground vocals (strange).
Back in the days Donovan Dacers and Dalton Leathes use to make my day and night with this song "Hey! you're not alone, we're here to help you make it through the night" 😪
Listening forever and ever............being born in Jamaica 60's, 70's, 80's or 90's, we grew with parents or loved ones that played the radio, schooled and mastered by beautiful and talented disc jokeys. Life's lessons are taught and learnt through the unbelievable sounds of instruments, lead singers and omg the backup singers! Cheers to everyone that love and appreciate these types of music!!!!!!!
The greatest era in Soul and R&B was the 70s and early 80s! Stunning music! And as Jamaicans, we are still living it! Just heard this on Kool FM, looked it up on RU-vid here (RU-vid is the GREATEST!) and ordered the CD from Amazon. Even Shazam didn't know the tune LOL! But here it on RU-vid. We live in a wonderful time in which we don't have to put up with the sub par, often soul-less, music thats being released today.
Guys! Let me give you a few more songs from that time. 1. Aretha Franklin - If Ever A Love There Was. 2. Freddie Jackson - Main Course. 3. Gwen Guthrie - I’ll Give My Best To you. 4. Gerald Alston - Send For Me. 5. Champaign - This Time. 6. Alexander O’Neal - Sentimental. 7. Howard Hewett - Say Amen. 8. George Benson - Starting All Over. 9. Gregory Abbott - Shake You down. And last but not least. A very timeless classic. 10. Menudo - If You’re Not Here.
