Thank you Marcy for sharing this video; the fall colors were absolutely breathtaking; I can only imagine what they must look like being there in person! Only God can create this beautiful masterpiece!
As a New Englander I loved this video. But you know what? My wife and I had a very similar reaction seeing the desert beauty of New Mexico for the first time. It's hard to describe to people here, but from Las Cruces to the Colorado border it is truly the Land of Enchantment. And the food is phenomenal! Not Mexican, not Tex-Mex, it's a unique cuisine that I've never seen anywhere else. That's why I found your channel! Glad you enjoyed New England.
It is New Mexican food that made it special. I lived in Albuquerque for over 20 years before moving to Oregon, and yes, I really miss the land of enchantment, especially the foods.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting. I really enjoyed what you said because there is so much beauty in New Mexico that most people don't know about. And you're right about it having it's own unique food. I love it. But, of course, I also love exploring new places, and New England was definitely on my bucket list.
@@josephineives5749 Very true. Colorado is GORGEOUS. But that's a given. I think it's just more surprising when you hear that about New Mexico, because not as many people travel there.
How beautiful thank you again I love going to picnic me and my hubby love doing that you are a beautiful couple I'm 72 and I enjoy life more at this age God has really bless you both thankyou Jesus ❤️
Wow!!! Amazing video, guys!!! That is one thing you don't see much of here in ABQ, New Mexico, is fall colors!!! Thank you for filming and sharing with us!!! 💗💗💗
I know live in Colorado but grew up in western New York State. The thing that I miss the most is the fall, the color, the smells of autumn. Colorado has its aspen but it can't compare. I am glad that you both got to experience it . God created a beautiful time of the year!
Baby Boom is one of those movies I never get tired of! I'm an 80's kid and love that movie. I was doing my bills and getting a little stressed out. Your video pop up and as I'm watching all the beauty it really made me feel calm. Fall is the best season. I've never traveled to the East Coast so I loved the video. ❤ Safe travels
I love that you've seen that movie multiple times! Then you can understand why this was such a bucket list trip for me. I'm happy you found it calming at the right time, too.
Your videos are always so well put together it makes sense now that your husband is a professional! I love the travel video...food and travel is perfect.
So beautiful! I've always wanted to see New England in the fall. But I agree with an earlier comment--since I don't live in New Mexico, I can say that I get the same sense of awe whenever I visit. Completely different landscape, but just as beautiful in its own, enchanting way. Thanks for taking us along on your journey!
I love hearing that because, as I'm sure you know, I'm a huge fan of the desert southwest. I think there's beauty everywhere. The only thing I'm not particularly drawn to is big cities. I can only handle them for a little while and I need to get out. I prefer quiet and nature. Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful roadtrip!!! It's terrific and so appreciated!!! Im in the PNW in S Central WA, and we're more of a desert'ish area with the Mighty Columbia River running throught the 3 cities of Richland, Pasco, and Kennewick (aka Tri-Cities). No colors like those in these parts. Absolutely GORGEOUS!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I've only been to Seattle. Ignorant me, I assumed the whole state was the same. But it's a big state and makes sense that the terrain is diverse. Thanks for the comment. Glad you enjoyed the video.
This was lovely, Marcy. I'm from CT so I especially enjoyed seeing the places you went. I always longed to travel but my heart always led me west, which is how I got to NM. So when I was living there and had time to roam, I never went further north than I already was. I missed out ! Oh well. It's such a blessing to experience a real New England Fall. The smells ! So glad you saw the best of New England.
Ohhhhh Marcy and Tony! Thank you for taking us to God’s Country! HE most definitely had a hand in that beautiful painting. I cannot believe the colors! The little general store that you visited was so quaint. I certainly would’ve gone broke in that store. This is definitely on my bucket list……Sigh….. Safe travels to you both! Thank you again and many blessings to you both!
That’s always been a dream of mine, but most likely will never happen. I’m 74 and from Arizona, my husband from South Dakota will be 76 next month. We live in Northern Nevada close to our sons and 6 grandchildren..so I thank you for this trip you took us on it was beautiful!
I'm glad it felt like you came along because that's what we were aiming for. We don't always have to be there in person to appreciate the beauty. Enjoy your grandchildren. Thanks for watching and commenting.
New England in the Fall has been on my Bucket List since I saw the movie "Baby Boom" in the 80's. Like Diane Keaton's character, I wanted to move there and just make apple sauce. So to finally make it out there, was a dream come true and It was even more beautiful than I imagined. Let me know in the comments what's on your Bucket List. I'd love to hear about it. 🍎🍁🍂 Also, I'm thinking about making apple fritters for a future video. What do you all think?
Simply beautiful! I remember that movie as well and loved the movie and the setting. I'm glad you got the opportunity to experience such a wonderful trip. Apple fritters sound like a great idea!! Thank you for sharing with us!!😍
@@rondapendegrist1979 Thank you for watching! Glad I'm not the only one who remembers the beautiful setting in that movie. Also, appreciate you weighing in on the apple fritters.
@@L.Spencer I've never been to Catalina Island, but that sounds very do-able, considering where you live. Glad you're on board with the apple fritters. I'll make them in a few weeks.
That's exactly what we were told by one of the locals. I mentioned that it would probably be even more colorful had we gone later in October, but she said the rain was causing the leaves to fall early. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I grew up in a small town in Massachusetts and now live in the California desert. Quite a difference! We do have trees in our neighborhood that turn bright red in the fall and ours turns yellow but it's nothing like what I grew up with. I miss it there but I don't miss the heating bills and too much snow for days on end.
Hi Marcy, I am a new subscriber as I found your videos on pinto Beans and your rice. I am a Latina as my French Mom had to learn to cook My Mexican dad's favorites. I used your recipe for my beans and Rice tonight. I look forward to going thru your videos and finding some new tips tricks/recipes. This former So Cali girl is now living in East Tn, and our leaves are vibrant and beautiful just like the landscape of your East Coast trip. All the best, Viola
That was very cool Marcy. I just discovered your channel while searching New Mexican cooking. May your channel continue to grow! BTW: My dad would always tell us to, "Keep our eyes peeled". I loved that part. We're from southern Colorado, which is similar in culture to New Mexico.
Thank you so much. That's so nice of you to say! I love Colorado. I have relatives in Colorado Springs, but I haven't been there since I was a kid. I'll be going to Denver on my husband's work trip next week and am really looking forward to it.
