Thank you for this! I've missed Mardi Gras since 2005 before Katrina. I live here now in Cebu, Philippines since 2012 and it's good to see this

Mardi Gras is one of my favorites besides Christmas. I am originally from New Orleans but unfortunately my beautiful family house was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. I now live in Baton Rouge. I will have to watch Mardi Gras on the TV. I still get dressed up in my costumes and parade outside of the house with the dogs and my cousin's and I always get a big King Cake. Be safe and have a great Mardi Gras 2022.

I used to live in New Orleans too and will never forget the year I paraded with the Mardi Gras Indians with a big smile on my face. Good times!

The Pontchartrain Hotel isn't in the Garden District... Maybe Lower Garden District but even that's not technically right lol

@@kamtheman106 The Garden District in all practical purposes for the general public is on the riverside of St. Charles and ends at Jackson(some suggest it ends at 1st)... The Garden District Association does have a scope of influence provided by the city that goes beyond that, though, for the purpose of keeping the neighborhood cohesive from all aspects. The hotel may have to conform to GDA policies but it is outside of the neighborhood.
