I was 13 years old in 98 when I heard this album from a neighbor. I asked him: what is it ? He answered: it's Black Metal. Then he gave me the tapes from Darkthrone, Storm, Graveland, Rotting Christ, Immortal, Satyricon. As thet say the rest is history🤘😎🤘

Я в детстве когда купил этот альбом в 1998 году, я думал что трек .Dreams of Blood and Iron. and Dracole Wayda. это один и тот-же трек, только с переходом! С этого альбома началась реальная слава .Marduk. с приходом .Legion'a. Respect of Belarus 🇧🇾 👏 🎉

Un discazo,.. realmente marduk me destapo la cabeza.. tenia 12 años cuando ya los curtia... una musica perfecta, su mentalidad era ser la banda mas blasfemas del mundo y lo lograron... nis respetos a marduk... saludos desde Argentina... aguante el black metal del under !!

Not their best release, but still very good. Slay the Nazarene and Nightwing are amazing :) Legion and Fredrik really are missing nowadays.

It weren't black metal bands in 80es, just heavy metal- King Diamond, Mercyful Fate and thrash-speed metal( Venom, Sarcofago, Celtic Frost, Bathory) bands that had satanic imagery and lyrics

I have no idea why but when I hear the title track from this album it always makes me think of the Gilligan's Island theme song. "The millionaire....and his wife". Yes - I know it doesn't make any sense.

@@magicburzum4048 Nocturno's a pretty dope vocalist and Legion was pretty cool, too. Imo in the end he only lacked the seriousness and violent vibes a band like Marduk required. It was quite the change considering their live shows back then when Mortuus came into play. From a "fun" show back to a way more dark experience.

No. They play Black Metal (of the Swedish kind). There are some traces of DM on their debut, but that does not warrant "Deathened BM"

Well I will say I lean more toward Death Metal but have become a fan of black metal in the last 10 years or so. And this is my favorite Marduk album if that means anything.
