Two months ago I had a breakup with my girlfriend after a several years of really good relationships. This song helped me a lot to get through this nightmare in my life, from which, honestly, I'm not fully recovered still. Huge thanks and respect to Mareux for his art.

I'm completely obsessed by Mareux's entire discography and with this song in particular. Being a long time fan of musical genres like post-punk, darkwave, EBM and industrial, this could fit perfectly with any synthpop songs from the 80s and with bands like Joy Division, depeche mode, The sisters of mercy, Bauhaus and nine inch nails. At the same time, I find mareux music to be more originally unique and personal than modern groups who are influenced by the same kind of music like Molchat Doma or Boy Harsher. There's something deeply melancholic and catchy about his lyrics and sound.

I can't put in words how deeply this lyrics cuts my soul, especially the second part! I can feel the the hopeless and sadness taking control of him again while the last bright of hope fade away in the final chorus... Man you're a legend, amazing song with deeply lyrics, and your voice just make all of this unforgettable.

The video is basically telling you that life is short, it could end at any time, before it ends live to the fullest. And this is why I love this song so much.

(I'm from Germany so there could be some mistakes and misspelling. I'm sorry.) Today I had a dream where this song started to play right at the end of my dream. The part of the song I remember hearing is from 0:00 - 0:48 In this dream I was maybe a kid again and there was my first childhood friend with me. We were in a toy store and looked at everything and talked about what we wanted to buy for ourselves. There were many old DVD's with cartoons I loved as a child (I clearly remember "Dragon Hunters" was one of those). Also, slimes and dolls. The thing with the dolls was that they were somewhat damaged. I mean hair was cut short and some even looked like they're burned. This was when I became uncomfortable within the dream (this is not yet the end, the dream goes on for a little bit more). My old childhood friend was feeling great, even with the creepy dolls. She was smiling and happy. Then suddenly, the dream was cut to a place which looked like the place I grew up in. But not exactly and I was no longer human. I didn't had a body, I was only a pair of eyes with only my voice. I couldn't touch anything. My best friend was gone. Then, a pregnant woman became the center of my dream. She already had one son and husband. For some reason, both of them were worried about her and the unborn baby. In this dream I remember they had animals. A big dog and I think even a donkey. I started to talk to the woman. She was the only one who could hear me. I don't remember what I said to her, but it felt like I was making promises towards her. Like, I will make sure she and her family will be safe, as long as she does what I told her to do. This sounds crazy, but I think I was some kind of devil at this point. I felt like one. This family also looked like some old farm people from a different time, if you know what I mean. Anyways, the mother accepted my offer for protection over her family and this is when I became her. She was now my new body. I started crying all of a sudden. I don't remember why. Her husband and son where working on some field and when I decided to run towards them, this is when the song started to play inside my head. Suddenly it felt like I was running from something I couldn't see or even grasp the concept of it. I felt almost paranoid. The last thing I remember thinking about is sugar. I know, very random... This was my dream. Thank you for reading all of this.
