The BEF Michael Brennan Courage Award is presented to a person living with CF who shows all of the qualities the late Michael Brennan showed in his own lifetime.
Marge Carfora is a survivor, a fighter, and an inspiration for the entire CF community.
Despite facing three different types of cancer and a double lung transplant, Marge has led a life with a positive spirit and an incredible support system. Marge’s motivation and celebration of life is a story that deserves to be heard by all.

Dear Margaret - THANK YOU for your courage and inspiration - YOU are a TRUE inspiration to me. We lost my daughter in law, Taymi, 22 months ago (age 33) to CF (and COVID). My son and she were first loves (married 12 years) - super cute/loving couple. Taymi, too, was an inspiration. CF is a horrific and debilitating disease - super hard on the patient/sufferer and family members. P.S. I love your husband's reference to Rocky's quote at the end of your video - so poignant and spot-on as to your fight!. I hope you are doing well (fighting like heck/like Rocky) and those ADORABLE LITTLE babes of yours are thriving and delighting you each and every day.

I have brain cancer & surgery 19 yrs ago. Then had my lower left lung removed 10 yrs ago. . Just got over lung cancer in my right lung. Now I have 2 brain tumors. This is a terrible disease. God bless her & all who have cancer. I go to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
