I met Margaret when she attended Barmulloch College over 24 years ago, lovely to see her, she hasn't changed a bit.

Watching your videos has me in tears, I remember James (Maggie) so well and its been over 38 yrs since i worked thr as a domestic, I wish I was still there with the Residents (patients) got to know so well, most of them gone now, RIP

I started work supporting 4 former residents in 2001. In 2002 I took them for a last look at the Castle. I pinched the sign from the entrance as a memento for them. All of them are RIP now. They called their living room 'day hall', always. They missed the Castle every single day. It was an honour to help these people. Thank you George, Alex, Maisie, Annie. Rest easy.

i spent 27 years in Lennox Castlel I remeber being taken out and hosed down by the janitors in the winters mornings, their was one staff member in particular, a cleaning lady it was her who carried out dental work on the residents to save money, she smashed 1 of my teeth out with an ice - pick and hammer

I am fascinated to find a RU-vid member with experience of Lennox Castle. Do you mind if I ask you about your experiences? Did you feel lucky that your matron had dentistry related skills, or were you aware that her medical knowledge was decidely "smash and grab"? It is certainly great to see Scally in a more liberated setting.

It's amazing how much shes changed from 1996 isnt it? Such a shame what people went through. I live in Torrance, just up from the Castle. Have been up a few times - very eary - no sound or anything - very uneasy atmosphere
