Perfectly worded, my exact thoughts…. Young love. This melody is a reflection of the butterflies in our bellies and hearts when new love springs. Such a beautiful feeling. Brings tears to my eyes.
I always come back to this. You can feel how free he made her feel in those moments.. until he dropped her. The tragic story of Margaret. She just wanted to love and be loved.
The only man that impressed me in the crown!!! He is very charming and a very very good actor!! Here in Greece we would call him " Apollon!! ...The God!!!
@S R I doubt you'd let go of your privileges as the Queens only sibling and a child of a king if you had the choice yourself. If you actually read into it, after Townsend came back from his 2 years abroad Margret simply fell out of love with him. An archive search showed that the only thing that would have been taken away from her if she did marry Peter was her place in line to the thrown which she didn't have a chance of getting anyway because the queen already had 4 kids. At least do your research.
@@Sosiska_aliska yep and I think that she's also traumatized by what happened to her uncle. From what I read wallis wasn't even in edwards death bed and she treated edward really bad and also apart from that I think maggie doesn't want to "lose" her family by marrying a divorcee just like her uncle.
Margaret and Diana got along pretty well. She actually defended Diana to the family. However, her relationship like Diana’s relationship with nearly everyone in the RF hit a road block, and Margaret lost all respect for Diana after the panorama.
It's a hookup scene, but the music does not reflect that. It's a kinky scene, but they music does not reflect that. Instead, the background music here reflects what is REALLY happening in this scene - Margaret is saved from the brink. Is it a coincidence that the background music is called 'Spring' by Vivaldi? I don't think so. Just as flowers blossom and birds come out to play in spring, this is the scene where Margaret, after years of despair, finds life. Margaret was a good girl pretending to be a bad girl. She did not deserve the treatment she got from the rest of her family, and later from Tony. May she rest in peace.
Its not a hookup scene, he asks her to marry him directly following this cigarette being lit. It also comes on the heels of her storming out and basically telling him to get lost if he wont put up with the changing status quo of marriage. Definitely not a hookup for 17 years lol. I mean I know the reality of the relationship is really lost to both of their memories now but in the show thats whats going on.
...the music was just magical, mystic, and sexy as hell, really put me far and deep into the scene. and I played it over and over and over again, thinking of a past love...or maybe two...
The cinematography, music, editing and acting are hipnotizing. This is one of the most sophosticated works of art in, not only recent TV, but TV in general. Takes my breath away.
What got me emotional in this scene is not that she’s trying to marry before Peter as some sort of race but also that she’s trying to find happiness. She’s trying to relit the passionate feeling within herself. Many privileges were taken from her and she’s tired of it. But what she found happiness was in Peter. But as soon as he was taken away she starts to give up her spirit and her hope starts to get lost but as soon as she met Tony she felt a different path of love and adrenaline something she hasn’t experienced before since she’s royalty. But the awful side is that Tony doesn’t truly love her because he sees her as an advantage to his title and has many affairs. While she’s clinging onto him because she thinks he can make her happier than Peter and bring her more happiness than what her sister or anyone could ever have. She wants to be happy by something she wants. But she can’t have it.
I consider Max Richter’s recomposed Spring a masterpiece. I just started watching “The Crown”and I saw this scene yesterday. The music, the visual elements, the ambience and the little moments of happiness for Princess Margaret pulled out my deepest emotions. This scene became a perfect masterpiece for me.
I loved the way matthew Goode and Vanessa kirby potrait those royal couple..❤️..their both so rebellious, bold and glamorous.. The best couple in the crown series..the chemistry is amazing 🔥🔥
The crown is probably the best series I’ve ever seen and this scene was very emotional and beautiful and Max Richters Music Vivaldi Spring 1 is one of the most beautiful pieces ever written
One of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever heard. Simplicity in it's purest form, soul searching! Fantastic scene also, one of the best combinations ever. Dancing tears come to mind! Beautiful xx

The majestic recomposition of Max Richter Vivaldi’s Spring, the painful life of princess Margaret and the images that shows those few moments of happiness she had, pull out all my feelings... and I cry.
Oh noooo. I dont mean to be bitter and thank you so much for uploading this but i wish it was untouched. The edit was already perfect. I wish the original exists on RU-vid.
Never had a chance to hear the original!!! Wow.. this one captured my ear ! Can’t imagined what the original sounded like. Now I’m on the hunt. #musiclover
Eclosión de sentimientos los que transmite esta escena, bravos por los intérpretes, la estética, los planos y sobre todo bravo por la elección de la pieza musical. Simplemente de 10...
This moves me like nothing else🥰every note, diminished chord, th beautiful dance of th violin, Viola, cellos and piano vibrate thru my very soul #TrulyBeautiful and Gratitude Abounds for th joy
For me the scene is like 2 of them escaping their past but doesnt really know whats ahead of them, will this work? Will it solve everything? Vivaldi’s spring is a new hope for them, the melodramatic accompaniment is the uncertainty and underlying issues in the relationship. One of my favorite scenes in The Crown
Being a close family member of a great social figure will always be hard to deal with. People will always look at you like "So and you, what about you!?" as something secondary, as a gap that must be filled but no one really cares much. You'll live on a shadow of someone's else your entire life. Poor Margaret, Poor Prince Philip, Poor Diana . . .
This scene is so sad. Margaret is basically prisonner of her priveleges. Because of protocol, she missed the one she loved. And she desperatly reached for affection after being deceived multiple times. At the end, it’s like she was used because of her position. I feel sorry for her, probably should just have took the risk to chose true love in the first place. Love and protocol only/hardly worked out for Elizabeth, but this combination is what destroyed every relatives marriage.
This scene is artistic perfection. But in the larger context with regards to their relationship, it is such a terrible pity that he only wanted to marry the princess to satisfy a childish fantasy and to impress his ghastly mother. Margaret deserved to be with her true love which was so cruelly denied to her by her sister. I don't mean to speak ill of the late Queen but just her actions simply as a sister. Margaret showed much maturity and was the bigger person to still support her sister anyway she could.
