It’s like Al Roker was a heat seeking missile for anxiety and zoned right in on all of the brothers insecurities and then disappeared into the night never to be seen again.
The McElroys have like thirty years goofing with each other and like twelve years of doing improv comedy on podcasts. Al Roker has been doing live television in front of millions of people, like every day, travelling around the word commentating for a major media network on a variety of events with a variety of co-hosts, every day for literal decades. They were never going to win that quick-draw.
I remember the first time i heard this i was like “al was so excited to meet obama that he pooped his pants, you’re FINE you’re gonna he FINE!” and then they Weren’t
I’m so glad that people have cut clips from this episode and made cool animatics because this episode made my skin crawl so bad I had to turn it off immediately.
its absolutely one of my favorite episodes but only because A: Griffin's ass gets melted by Al Roker, and B: its kinda cathartic for me having just as much social anxiety as our titular brothers, its painful to listen to but deeply deeply funny
Listening to the McElroys is just **laugh at goof about some celebrity you don't know* * *find out who they are seven months later, by chance** **go 'okay, that's kinda funny**
I love how all 4 of them just came to the same conclusion, that all of this was FAR better to just leave on than ANY question or answer couldve hoped to be
@@ethanyoung1697 Same. I love the brothers, and just hearing them get super anxious about talking to people makes me feel kinda good because I admire them and to know they struggle with anxiety and can still do things like this is really inspiring.
I listened to the whole thing at work. It destroyed me with anxiety. I was desperately hoping that my coworkers wouldn’t see me breaking down while Al Roker bullied my favorite brothers.
I had to pause this episode while listening to it the first time because of the second-hand anxiety. Verrry spicy. I love your depiction of the boys! Also when using the silhouettes during the interview.
I would love to see this entire episode animated collaboratively like the episode of the adventure zone the fandom did a while back. The pure chaos itself would be worth it.
