My favorite photos of her are the ones Francesco Scavullo took of her for the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine. Part of her charm were those natural eyebrows and she had a very unique mouth. Her jawline is so tight that she looked like a living statue. Near the end of this video she wore the same style sweater that Marilyn Monroe wore at a beach photo shoot at the end of her life.On my bucket list is to see the film LIPSTICK so that I can worship her on screen.
I remember it like it was yesterday, when she walked into Gristedes Market on 65 street, and Madison Avenue, in the beginning of the Summer in 1979. I was 21 1/2 years old. It was early morning, and only me, who was a bread distributor owner, and she entering the store to buy flowers at the entrance of the store. And yes, we both looked straight at each other, and then she spoke and I was tongue tied for the only time in my life when it came to a woman. Yes, she was trying to start a conversation with me, but I was in awe. I did say something, but who remembers. But our two smiles at each other said it all. When she left, the store Cashier Jose, stated what happened. She was trying to pick me up, since she had just gotten divorced. She lived in the building above, and Jose knew her. For being a super model, she really seemed down to earth. It was so tragic the way she died. RIP Margaux. I will never forget your sweet demeanor.
I just finished watching Mariel Hemingway's documentary Running from crazy. It's sad to hear that there was so much suicide and depression in the hemmingway family.
She had so much going for her. Why’d she do it? Was she a victim of child sa or other abuse or was it a generational curse related to these things? I’d be happy to have a life like hers.
I think her beauty was so intense it overshadowed who she really was - not some glamazon poster girl but a down-to-earth simple girl that loved to be in the outdoors
That picture on Vogue at .20 seconds, she looks so depressed. NYC agencies know how to do the makeup and make you look fantastic. But even without the makeup she still was beautiful. Gia had the same thing done to her. She was made up to become beautiful, just as was Margaux. But once drugs and alcohol began to take their toll, the looks faded, as with both women.
It's tragic to me, someone named after French Bohemian royalty, Queen Margaux, how the first 7 figure contract "super model" for fabrige went in a downward spiral with amphed, barbituates, alcohol, mixing them in such a dangerous way. I was here in LA after the earthquakes and LA riots, didn't know what to expect in gun city and gang town and mobster ville. I didn't venture to east side pretty much at all. Now I'm everywhere and still it's the strangest place and the strangest set of unsuspecting people who do harm. And for her too I feel. It was strange to see the LA Times insert magazine with a little Hemingway with his grandfather, then a month later his granddaughter dead barely identified. How many died here in LA with narcotics I wonder what the government is doing? or is it just mobster ville? Needle town, heroine, from Elvis to Jackson, to so many we study the politics of opium in government. It's sad and tragic. Oh and just like TRUE CONFESSION, LIPSTICK came on the friday night or weekend feature ones, and this big glare THIS IS NOT FOR CHILDREN AND ANYONE UNDER .... But I watched that movie until that moment the guy goes for his sister and then got scared. It's weird. A lot of rural small deep south ones like that. Weird. When they're not in public view or under the radar, they do weird stuff. I read em a lot of em in Crim Law. weird. BUT, I'm saying LA county from Bradley, to Hahn, to those respectables, even that Judge Hito that gave Clark and the Kardashians a $ careers, they had their day, and like sewol, there's a cycle. OC burbs been in that awful bldg for too long heh? It's an AWFUL bldg people don't know. It's dank, wet, stinks of mold, brown and terribly awful ugly. It's the last place you wanna be. Each day, I thought of walking into Time Life instead in NYC vs. LA droll. AND THEN SMACK ACROSS THE ST. they put this HEINOUS catholic church that looks a prison from medieval times that should be in buena park hello. then they put the federal penitentiary across there and over there. LA's a MESS. But it's been a drain for so long and it's sad to think all the money from studios and the bulk of the travel sales in LA county is going to that MESS. don't you agree? u know the difference with korean me or likes, is that the russians always say you join me? who wants to join me? NO. it's agree. hello. not join like brainwash pow camps. nasty things.
