I’m making my journey back to completely raw. I spent 5 years raw. Did great! Loved it! Don’t know exactly why I stopped but health reasons have brought me back to raw living. I LOVE my avocados when I’m raw. They are so satisfying! Blessings!

One I have had my eye on for a while now ….

Have you tried Wurtz? They are the only kind I have and I was skeptical how they would taste given that people plant them mainly because its a dwarf. But I have been super happy with what I have gotten so far. The size, pit, texture, and inside color seem really similar to the Maria Black in this video. They ripen November and December for me.

Hey Paul, My local nursery ordered me a Maria B but I noticed the label as being a Maria when I received it. I have looked high and low but can't find any info on the comparison between the Maria and Maria B. Would you know the difference? The two nurseries I have talked to say they're the same but the label on my Maria describes it as extremely vigorous in growth habit rather than dwarf. Thanks for your time.

Can these grow in Northern North Carolina?

Thank you for having so many tasters, who gave it a rating of at least 8. And along with others I'd also like to know how it compares to Improved Pollock. They are roughly the same season and tree size, right? WHICH ONE TO PLANT if you had to do an "either...or?" (From my experience both growing and tasting--multiple attempts--the variety NOT TO EVER PLANT in South Florida is Day!!! The tree is finicky, the fruit ripens inconsistently, and it has virtually no flavor compared to 90% of the avocados I've tasted. I don't know how Alex could like it!)
