Maria Clementi plays Scarlatti Sonata in D major K 96 

Simply stunning, Ms Clementi. Such an amazing interpretation. I have not heard a better rendition in 30 years.

Absolutely beautiful! Excellent.

Straight to the point: Domenico Scarlatti is my favorite composer from Baroque Era.

Her playing is so clear and exact, the changes in dynamics so natural bringing a liveliness. The playfulness and humor of Scarlatti is in clear evidence. This is so wonderful to listen to. I thought Pogorelich was the best at playing Scarlatti's sonatas but after hearing Ms. Clementi's playing, I think her playing is certainly equal to his.

This is such a beautiful performance. I found the sheet for this piece in one of my books and it looked like a lot of fun, so I looked it up. This gives me major inspiration to learn it :) People often think Baroque music has no soul, but this video proves otherwise

I liked this very much Maria. Assume you must be Italian whether or not you're related to Muzio :) Visually, I like the change of scene but the camera changes the shots too frequently I think. Lovely sparking repeated notes and trills!

You play it beautifully!I love Scarlatti.What fingering do you use for those fast repeated notes? I find them the most difficult part of this piece. Not so difficult on a harpsichord maybe; but on a piano I just can't do it.

Mi spiace, ma per me è troppo lenta, si percepisce la fatica tecnica. I ribattuti sono da rivedere. Nessuno mai arriverà alla precisione di cziffra, però è di ispirazione. Il problema è che non si sente differenza tra tema sinistra destra, è tutta forte uguale dall'inizio alla fine.

Can't stand this sonata anymore omg...it's bubbly and overplayed. Great playing tho..
