Extraordinary. Thank you so much for sharing. You are right about the sound but, really, who cares. These rare films of artists of high calibre can sometimes disappoint, particularly when caught live. Sometimes, for whatever reason, the performances don't quite catch fire. Not so here. She seems to find so much of the composer's mercurial temperament. Marvelous.

I belive 1990. The Cd was released in 1989 and the logo of RTP 2 is from 1990 to 1993. I have the Cd and is great to see this on camera! Now i realise that she skips the left hand octaves in the final bars at 24:00. Anyway it's a great interpretation.
Always listening to her Mozart for one reason or another, then remembering the Schubert recordings, and cycling through them again. It has happened 5-6 times now.
8:33 is the best part. Obviously she is enjoying it very much. Playing music is the closest feeling you can possibly have to sharing a soul with another human.
8:57 it should be Dflat Major not Minor. Many would say oh thats just a wrong third,but in my opinion Major creates a whole nother atmosphere and is very esential
