Ana was laying on the ground having her BP taken and it all looked very dramatic! “Check her blood pressure” meant “hang on a second, she was really unwell a minute, now she’s just come and broken my serve?!”
Yeah. You cannot beat Serena with the game Maria had. You had to make fatso run around like crazy or slice the ball low until she couldn’t bend down any more. Maria had neither.

Maria was down 2-5 in the second set and Ana was dominating cruising to victory in two sets. Meledonium however is noted as a PED for giving second wind or a big boost in the latter stages of competition. Maria was noted for pulling off tough three set matches and coming back after being behind. A good example is the 2014 Roland Garros against Bouchard among others. The drug she used for years is supposed to be taken for a short period only. Prior to Maria's WTA ban the same drug was banned from the Olympics and the entire under 19 Russian IIHF team was banned as well for using this PED. WTA banned it for a reason. There is a big possibility many former Soviet country tennis players were using this but only Masha got caught. Use of PEDs basically destroys tennis.
