What a Loving tribute to your mother, and a wonderful way to continue her legacy. Your Mother's vision reminds me of the verse attributed to Jesus The Christ: "Jesus replied, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ ~from the Book of Matthew, Chapter 25, verses 31-46. When we love, even those who seem the most challenging to love, we reveal the Faces of God inside each of us. xoxo~

This is a poignant tribute to those with any sense of humanity. In those days, “retarded children” were taken from their mothers at birth and institutionalized never to be seen again. Eunice told me there was no one to champion the cause of mentally disabled children. Today is a different world. There is still cruelty to those who cannot possibly defend themselves; but now there is the global knowledge that this is fundamentally wrong, and these cruelties must end. Eunice did that.
