4:16 one of my fav attempts EVER. i love how heavy and thick she sounds here, the effort she put in it and the rasp. not to mention that this is the last time she ever did this in the original key...you would have thought daydream era would have been the last time but she really came thru right as the decade closed!
It's actually not heavy and thick. Its because they gave her a mic with foam cover which cut the highs and left the deeper end. It would sound exactly the same as 1:55 where she didnt use the foam.
I honestly think nothing compares to(1996) tokyo dome just because of how connected it was going from low to high on the way beating the rest of daydream, and the the fact that it has those high notes (which she couldn’t really hold in butterfly era) makes it the best
0:49 and 3:57 sound so much identical in the “in time” omg yas just proves that its just basically the same vocally just that its more raspy and the ease is not there
Isn't anyone going to talk about the fact that the performances were done within the maximum of three months interval? Go Mariah! Whatever the voice does now is highly excused. 😘

I agree but disagree to that Washington being supported,with that posture you cannot have a proper breathe management. It's not free,it has tension. Tokyo is not free,it's tensed it has forcing and excessive raising of larynx Dd London,Rotterdam and Paris has valsalva problems..
@@swingriah6537 None of Mariah's upper belts were as healthy as it seems to be, they all have problems with tension as low as Eb5 (listen to One Sweet Day acapella, for example). Mariah in general was a natural singer, not really careful and/or trained and later in her career it clearly shows she has no idea what she's actually doing. As long as it sounds pleasant and on key - she's fine with it Mariah, in my opinion, is a very conservative type of a person. Conservative in her habits, to be accurate, she's still trying to sing and sound like she did in her youth and when things aren't working - she's just faking it. Only now, in 2024 we can see SOME changes in her vocal approach, where she finally stops with that brave, but silly attempt to sound like her prime voice which is long gone at this point. It was gone already in 2000, now it's just no I just hope it won't completely ruin her legacy, sad to see what her voice currently is, but only Mariah can change that. I hope that eventually she will, "though hope is fragile"
Honestly that Tokyo is enough for me. She can sound like crap for all I care after that. Rotterdam is a close second. Those archives will forever stand.
