Mariah’s team (aka tommy) changed her whole image during the process of making Music Box. they started making her wear heavier makeup, manually curled her hair or made her wear it straight for the first time, changed her fashion sense for her to fit in with the trends of the time, and i‘ve heard she was made to start training w a vocal coach by this point, but i could be misinformed. Normally in MB interviews her forehead isn’t completely covered and she is wearing a bit of eyeshadow or lipstick which made her look more mature than she did before, but here she looks the same as she did in 1992-91-90 except with pigtails.

Research it.That's why in Mexico people who hate her call her 'puta'. She wanted to be a Mariah. To crossover. Which didn't happen because the american didn't like her. @iiAmitx3 Its not weird. These women know the man they married is a powerful music producer and old. Both want t a music career and old Motolla gave it to them if they marry him. Everybody knows how Mariah became a singer. The cassette. Maybe it was not Mariah's idea at first but she married him anyways after he divorced his first wife.
@@smythejane7345 Unfortunately she did love Tommy... She tried to make her marriage work even though it was shit from the beginning, because she loved him and wanted to find a reason to stay with him. But then she realized she had to move on because he would never change.
MaggieMag 356 I wonder if Tommy loved Mariah too, or if it was just on Mariah’s side. I’ve never heard of Tommy coming out and saying that he tried to make the marriage work as well, that he loved Mariah. Only Mariah has actually said that she missed him and truly loved him. Her situation during this time really reminds me of Princess Diana and Prince Charles. Princess Diana tried to make the marriage work just like Mariah, they both truly loved their spouses, and supposedly missed them.
I kind of feel bad for Mariah because she was such a young woman, marrying a man twice her age, she didn’t know what was happening to her and allegedly thought it was true love.
I know that bugged me too.....like in that Dolores movie where she had just been beaten and was then supposed to just have dinner with the family as usual....mariah looked more pissy than that of course though
Thalia was already a well established star in the Spanish language market before she married Mottola - she had hoped Mottola could make her a star in the English language market which didn't happen. Nevertheless, she continued her career in the Spanish language market. Her children were belong long after she attempted her English career. She's made it clear she doesn't intend to try another English attempt. She as hesitant in the first place, avoiding English most of her career.
@@mmdmmj1Nah Tommy didn’t leave her she left Tommy. And Mariah wasn’t crazy per say. She didn’t have her breakdown until Tommy tried to destroy her back in the early 2000’s. That’s when she was diagnosed with depression and something else I can’t remember.
